We hold GNR to a higher standard. I expect new music. Period.

Aye makes sense they'd follow the sun n head south for the winter/their summer.
If it is the case then some people r gonna be upset they won't be heading into the studio..
Who knows about studio material. They haven't said anything so at this point there is no reason to have any expectations. In the year 2016, a lot of these old bands simply stopped caring about putting out new songs because they usually can't recapture the magic they had when they were younger and music doesn't sell like it used to. GnR is a nostalgia act. Has been for a long time.
New music is a bonus.

Duff and Slash were both there and both tweeted about how awesome it was. Someone on other site bumped into Fernando who said there were meetings going on about the next legs of the GnR tour, which may be why Slash and Duff are there. Supposedly Australia and Japan first, then Europe. Will probably get announced in short order.

Yea the streaming model is a successful one for all forms of media. netflix, hulu, amazon, itunes, spotify. even if you "purchase" them on amazon or itunes, you own a license that can be revoked at anytime.
I think it works however. For 10 bucks a month I can have access to practically any song I want.

I don't mind AC/DC, but this has run its course in mind. That and this should be so huge for GNR instead he is a new member of another band after Slash and Duff put their shit on hold. Oh well.
He has to at least finish the shows he agreed to do.
Not giving himself much of a break between all this either. After the fall he will be due for some time off.
I think the AC/DC shows are awesome. I also want more GnR music, but honestly I've given on it completely at this point.

I read this as a March/April 2017 release. But yeah looking forward to it. As James said, probably Metallica's last (real) album. Ashame they took so long between records since St Anger but I think they just enjoy living their life now. Could've squeezed 1 myb 2 more in there but whatever.
Death Magnetic was the latest.. I think that was in 2008. St. Anger is from 2003. Still, 8 years between albums, I guess they weren't in a hurry to put this out.
Looking forward to it.
