I was told by a friend of mine who managed to get backstage in Montreal that the guys in the band explained to him that they would like to mix up the setlist more, but Axl isn't as interested.
The explanation had something to do with choreography, pyro, and Axl knowing when to run where.
:shrugs:

It's clear these files have some value to Russ and a few others, but obviously no one has been able to trade them for an unheard track - did any one ever think that would be a fair 1:1 trade?
Maybe not a 1:1 trade, but a 14:2 trade would work. Or 14:1.
Or whatever.
Well, the proof is in the pudding. It hasn't worked.

i think what hes trying to get at is that a lot of people want these, and might be willing to trade a lot for them. think of all the stuff that happened last time, when MSL got the prostitute files. these tracks are definately in demand. maybe it would benefit everyone in the long run to sit on them for a while

Axl's not sharing his music with us, and neither are the select few who have unheard demos.
These files being dumped here confirms this.

I'd love to follow this conversation but I don't know what half sarcasm is.
Gagarin: I'm interested in hearing what you have to say - could you try again?

Indeed. I have a feeling this Ackcelll person is really shooting some people in the foot doing this. He didn't even try and trade these for unreleased new tracks! Sheesh...
sarcasm?

With multi tracks from CD? Not to me. As someone else mentioned, toying with this tracks and making remixes is fun for some of us.
oh. these don't sound like multi-tracks to me.

I won't complain about the setlist, because, personally, I have zero interest in seeing this band live.
I will always be extremely fascinated by Axl Rose and love reading about him.
If he ever puts out another album, I'll pre-order that motherfucker on Day 1.
If he's on TV - I'm gonna watch, and if he's interviewed in a magazine - I'm gonna buy it.
But paying to go to see Axl, Tommy, Dizzy, Chris, Richard, Ron, Frank and DJ is not my thing.
[That's not entirely true. If they played my hometown arena (15 min.s away) I'd go.]
Why not? Too expensive, not a fan of those guitarists, don't want to endure the long wait between acts, and .... (wait for it)
No sense of urgency or mystery, i.e. basically the same setlist since 2001.
Frankly, I don't think Axl gives a shit if I go or not. He's obviously meeting his personal expectations for success, so why should he change? For me? No.
There are enough people who will go - whatever he plays.
