That's awesome to hear. One day when I save up some money I'm probably going to invest in Vinyl or I may use my dad's old player that he's had since the mid 80s; but he hasn't used in years. Everlong, Learn to Fly, and The Pretender were some of the first Foo songs I listened to when I was younger. I starting hearing other songs when they were on TV or on the radio and I loved them; so I picked up the Greatest Hits with the bonus tracks and special content. I was blown away! I'm becoming more of a fan of them then most of the bands I listen to now. When I heard All My Life for the first time, my jaw dropped. At first when I heard the Foo Fighters I thought Dave was just the drummer and someone else was the singer,...and I was like holy crap...this guy is singing, playing guitar, and doing some of the drum tracks with other players! This is amazing, I should listen to more of this band's music! XD Wasting Light shows that this band is so strong and will continue to make great records for years to come. They don't give a shit about what's hip in rock or what's cool, they only care about their fans. Which I completely respect.

Yeah I agree. Word of Mouth really helps sell music now. I am definitely going to pick up this record sometime soon and listen to it from top to bottom. Still making a list for myself for several albums and video games I need to add to my collection. I have The Beatles, Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Queen Absolute Greatest, Pantera, Megadeth's Thirteen, alot of Pink Floyd, The Killers, and so much more.

I'm cool with whatever they do in a live show now as long as they change up the set list and bring in some good stuff from UYI or Chinese new session or fresh tracks!

He's really come into his own as a front man and musician since the last few Foo records. I like it that he always tries to bring in some new sounds after every record. Wasting Light is a great heavy rock record where like every song on has that early mid 90s or early 2000s rock vibe that I love. Every song on there sounds fresh and sounds great in the car!

That's the thing I love about some records. As long as the fans hear about it and love the music it will sell without the influence of MTV or high youtube video counts.

Loves me some Straits, the only one I own of theirs on vinyl is Brothers but I am going to grab a hits package of some sort just to have more material.
Good decision making!

Yeah I wanted to see that as well. I'm hoping to see The Avengers! If I love it and if any friends come join me, then I may see it a few more times too.

Yeah I wonder that as well. I think she has a problem with him mentioning Kurt alot sometimes which shouldn't be a problem at all. They were band mates and friends and who knows if they talked alot about personal stuff or not. There was an accusation that Kurt was going to fire Dave during part of the '93 In Utero tour since Kurt wasn't a fan of his drumming at the time or some crap like that; plus he was heavily on heroin drugs on top of that. Also there were disagreements with money and music publishing rights. Dave is one of the coolest guys in rock and the Foo Fighters and Nirvana are some of my favorite bands. I personally like some of the Foo's music more than Nirvana's too. He plays in Tenacious D and other bands too. It could be jealousy or some other crap. She should just keep her mouth shut and leave it at that. She even was going to fight a fan for having a Kurt & Courtney and Nirvana poster in the concert seats. I just hope Frances doesn't have to live with her parent's dark past and she is able to find her own path to happiness and good fortune. She sang backing vocals mixed in with several other artists on this musical project called Evelyn Evelyn by Amanda Palmer & other artists. She does some art work and other independent projects. I'm glad she isn't mooching off the estate and she's using that money properly to sustain a modest living with the money and work she's made on her own.

I think Courtney has made some great songs over the years and I truly believe she did love Kurt despite all the conspiracies, business deals, and other b.s. It seems she was starting to grow up once she released that Behind the Music special and the release of Nobody's Daughter. Now it seems she needs to move from all that and leave it to Frances to let her do her own thing and allow Kurt's music and image to appear whenever she feels it's appropriate. This may be the only way she can truly understand her father. The Dave Grohl accusation was just flat out childish and a low blow. Russ, I wanted to know your opinion on the album, Nobody's Daughter? I've gotten mixed opinions from critics and fans. I saw it at Hot Topic about a year and a half ago. I've listened to some of Celebrity Skin and Live Through This in the past.
