I can't interpret his tone or whatever
for me, he just sort of sounded nervous and was scared of a riot situation or something and he talked to the crowd, he just sounded nervous like he was afraid axl wasn't coming back
so to me, it just seemed he was trying to cover for Axl being offstage so the fans wouldn't get pissed.
u can interpret it however though, but that is how I took it.
The gay band thing could've been an inside joke as well i don't know.

Its like in the early 80's, Joe Perry left Aerosmith and later Brad Whitford. Sure they still played the Aerosmith classics and it was still Tyler singing, but no one gave a shit.

Yeah, all the GNR dudes were pretty spineless BUT, Axl changed fucking clothes 3 times during Civil War! LOL So maybe he really thought Axl was changing clothes and maybe he was just against the direction GNR was headed

Slash is the sell out for being against the big band, the horns, the wardrobe changes, the turn to electronica and nothing but ballad music?
To me, Slash quitting the band, shows he has some pretty big time integrity. Cause if he was a sell out cash grab, he would've just stayed in GNR and made way more money than he has made not being in GNR.

I took it like Slash thought he was going to change clothes *Axl changed fucking clothes ALOT on that tour
He was then told he cut his hand, so he corrected it and told the crowd that Axl cut his hand
I see nothing wrong with that.

Finck just doesn't have that style
Finck has a real choppy/sloppy style that I just don't like. It isn't anything personal, I just really never liked his herky jerky, spastic finger style.
slash makes u feel it like a great lyric or melody

Slash and Axl are the most famous members of GNR
Slash left got all the love, Axl got all the blame and hate
People love Slash, they love to hate Axl and Axl blames that on Slash and the fact he used his good guy rep to bury Axl and make him look like a clown.
The other guys aren't famous enough to do that.
I do find it funny that Axl said about the collaborations he'd be stuck with it and the blame..

I personally feel the RIR3 version would've been a smash
that was one song where Axl's 2002 falsetto type voice WORKED.
The growl/rasp doesn't fit on The Blues like that high pitched voice did.
