#3171 Re: The Sunset Strip » 25 Great Songs For Driving » 698 weeks ago

Some other great songs that would be nice while driving:

Running Down A Dream by Tom Petty, Dirty Harry by Gorillaz, and Cat Scratch Fever by either Ted or the Pantera cover, Handle With Care by  the Traveling Wilburys, Summer in the City by the Lovin' Spoonful, and Down at McDonaldz by Electric Six! big_smile I could go on with others; but of course you got the essential stuff from Sammy Hagar and Rush.

They seriously need to get on this shit and fix this problem. They couldn't of hired a visual artist to make a few shirts by using well captured photos of the band's recent tours. I've seen the photos on facebook and some of the pics with Ashba, Axl, and Ron would look great on a shirt with the right detailing. The photographer they have is fantastic.  Even one with the whole band together on stage captured in the right light would be very rock n' roll adding the logo and maybe some tour dates or a tag line on the back. Sell that with the membership and add some mugs or THE GRENADE SHIRT (saying Good Morning America or How ru? with GNR's logo OR ONE WITH CD'S ARTWORK! It isn't rocket science, GNR management. Then add maybe a pre-order for an instant download of a band photo, or a deal on discount tickets for future shows or new songs, remixes of material already released. I don't want a belt buckle print. Posters? They could make this really easy. NO APPETITE SHIRTS! If they are releasing new material talk about it and don't keep it secret or cryptic.

Love that guitar that Slash is using. It's the one from the YCBM video. 11 3

That's great to hear. This year and last are having some amazing albums and refreshing rock sounds coming out of the works. It's good that artists try something new on a record and each song is something of a particular variety. cool

That song is pretty awesome! I love the sound of it. It reminds me of early Zeppelin blue songs! big_smile It's got a great retro vibe to it with the distorted guitars and the backing singers that are supported with Jack's vocals.

#3176 Re: Dust N' Bones & Cyborg Slunks » Slash on 'Closing the Book on Guns N' Roses' at the Hall of Fame » 698 weeks ago

I know right? Can't we let this argument end. Alot of artists don't care about the hall no matter who is being inducted in the ceremony or not. Also they can't stand what it stands for and how you have to pay money to show up to your induction. I call that a load of crap. For example, My friend wants to become a famous musician one day and in the future if he ever does get inducted into the rock hall or a foundation like it and they ask for his family to pay to show up, me and him would probably tell them to fuck off. I'm not a Trunk kind of person towards the hall; but I have seen they showed alot of bands so much disrespect.

Especially TWAT and Prostitute. On that show in OSAKA 09, he was struggling with those high parts. I can't complain cause I wouldn't be able to do anything of that shit with my voice. 14  I applaud him for busting out those songs and wish he would do it more often. Also put in Perfect Crime, Yesterdays, Dead Horse, Oh My God, and new songs!

Oh..yeah we kind of saw Matt's agenda with the whole thing. I feel for Steven; but life goes on I suppose. They put on a good show despite all the issues. I completely agree on the fact that Slash did it for Steven cause he wanted to be there for him and means so much to the guy. Even though Slash really hates to talk about the old days and just wants to focus on the music they made and all that jazz. Got to give my props to Duff.
