I'm ready for CD 2 baby. The reunion is BUST. Slash is DEAD. CD 2 is the answer to my holy savior. Oh LORD Oh LORD. FUCK YEAH
It would be a turn up for the books.
I highly doubt Slash and Duff will walk away from touring and for Axl to then release CD II with Tommy and Dj returning to complete the mission of taking Bucket’s scrolls to the masses.

I’m excited to hear CD II but tattooing the band’s names on my bloated body is not happening. What if it sucks?

Of course I agree he was the best IN the band.
But the best guitarist FOR the band is currently playing lead on tour.
That’s what I said kind of.
Axl and GNR are past the CD era now...I think. I mean Slash and Duff did say they’ve heard Axl’s material and like it, but is that this or self titled?
I just can’t see Axl writing another Atlas or Perhaps or even getting stuff like Soul and Berlin. They’ve been working on all this for years now. Will they really drop it to make a Different Kind of Hard Rock reunion record. Guns of Bust.
The casuals know Locomotive, they must be ready for CD II.

Do we have the Beavan album? Stuff with just Finck and Tobias, pre Bucket?
If IRS etc is from 2000 intentions then that might explain no instrumental versions. Bucket came in a re-recorded and added some new tracks to it, but the vocals were from Beavan.

Good point.
For starters....
Why are the IRS instrumentals missing?
I get the impression there are no definitive demo discs. A few have surfaced but even from these we know Soul Monster has vocals now, Oklahoma has vocals and is now Berlin, so there’s probably more discs closer to CD finished product with Ron and Frank on them. Some of the CD songs are almost unrecognizable or at least very different from these. I’d never heard of Scraped or ITW, Sorry before CD came out. Also maybe no one has the actual CD II rough mixes so they are leaking 00s discs.

Silk and GD worth keeping in mind as they have vocals. GD could be a single.
Not sure what Cuban skies is and lost track of The General.

I’m glad Berlin and Soul Monster have vocals. Kind of get close to a full album of vocals.

I was referring to the title track.
It simply has too much going on for what it is. Only thing missing is Miss Piggy on the tuba...
And she's probably buried in the mix.
One thing did like however small added to the album was the brief crowd noise at the beginning of Riad. Fans had spent years whining about the crowd noise on the bootlegs.
Someone had a sense of humor.
I sort of like the album version and Shack and Better for the horsepower. A lot of the intricacies of the material got mown down for sheer brute force. There’s still stuff going on but it focuses on being a missile, having momentum. I think it was probably important to come out swinging on this big GNR album and scrutiny it was under. It’s almost like Axl understood his job too much, or he got there after the first versions avant garde In through the Out door leanings, Ezrin maybe woke him up to what people expected. It can’t be too indulgent, you’re going into a war zone. You need weapons. And actually he was right it was Catcher and IRS wobbly bits that caught the flack. The nice little interludes and sound effects is what people wanted stamping out. The general consensus was wanting more generic hard rock, less guitar wobbling and funky beats. So it was like making an album with Bucket then trying to make sound like UYI. Almost a futile endeavor. CD reminds of a movie. Like a big action movie and you go see it but you have very little idea how it was made, you might not like the whole movie but the script is great, all the acting is great and stunts are professional, you just din’t Like the ending or the camerawork. But there are great scenes and characters that you really enjoy, so keep watching it even though it’s not perfect.
