I've been recommended bu a couple if friends to go up Rockefeller over Empire State building as it's a better view apparently not quite as tall but better?
I've been told the wtc site is also well worth a visit.
No doubt some Christmas shopping will be on the agenda as well.

I will be visiting NYC for a few days this christmas. Just wondering where those of you who have been before or live there recommend I visit. Only there for 3 days so will have limited time so it'd be good to know what's worth doing and what not to bother with.

The fact Trump is not long since dead and buried (metaphorically speaking) is testament to how poor a candidate Hilary is also. She just, to me at least, appears the lesser of two evils.

There's a reason most sites back away from religion or politics. We never have and I wouldn't like to see that change but there has to be mutual respect when posting whether you seek it or not.
This is a GNR forum, bashing band members is going to be taken slightly differently to bashing arguably the most ridiculed man on the planet right now.
Crack on and discuss the election by all means but do it like adults or there will be no more election thread.

Buzz you've been here long enough, you know the score. Keep it civil or keep out of thread.

I had a Mazda 3 for a while, you should be able to run that thing for a long time. Japanese cars are generally pretty reliable, sounds like you made the right call to me.

Not seeing it to be honest.

Yep the general response to the shows has been excellent. Most people seem to agree he's kicking ass but there'll never be universal acceptance. Hell there was still a big debate over Brian v Bon, it's been a divided fan base for 35 years. Beta chiming in like that is potentially a PR disaster and will do nothing to help anyone. As she said haters gonna hate, let them, picking fights with them over the internet won't help and is frankly embarrassing.

I'm in the camp that the feud was never quite how it was made out. Sure there was tension there and they didn't speak for a long time but the outright hatred that was reported was imo off the mark.
I think Axl resented Slash, he resented him for leaving, he resented him for making Axl the fall guy, for always being perceive as the cool guy while Axl was the prima donna lunatic. I think he also resented the fact that somewhere deep down he knew for GNR to truly work he needed him, same applied for Slash of course, they conquered the world together but neither came close seperately.
After a while I think it became more about pride than anything else. Not hate as much as wanting to prove they could go it alone.
In the end the planets aligned and they bowed to the inevitable, everyone wanted to see them playing together not covering their own songs with DJ Ashba and Myles Kennedy. Common sense finally prevailed over 20 years of stubborn pride.
