You make some great points.
I'm not trying to be a jarmo and pretend all is perfect with the band, lots of things are indefensible.
What i'd like to know is what does stop him from releasing music. I mean he used to be able to do it. AFD came out. Lies came out etc etc. Whatever that thing is - I hope it can be removed - he gave some great songs to the world and I kinda believe if we could help whatever's upset him - maybe he could do it again.
Parts of me are convinced it took so long simply cause the material wasnt good enough.
Axl isnt gonna release something subpar.
Lets say Better and TWAT came later... picture cd without those two songs... take fan hat off... would be Terrible

Yeah but he went on to release UYI which was biggestperiod of the band.

Indulge me, I am bored.
was thinking of this today while at work and was wondering two things:
1. Why would the label release this song? Seems like they would do everything in their power to dissuade Axl seeing as GNR were becoming biggest band in the world.
2. How has Axl avoided the fallout from that when it would've ended most people's careers.. Look at Kramer *Michael Richards* for instance.

I consider myself a decent guitarist... but FUCK NO i wouldn't raise my hand.... LOL I shrank but know i wouldn't be able to do shit in his presence.

Picked up my Copy of UYI 2 today which is symbolic in that the first GNR album I ever owned was UYI 2. so my first GNR vinyl also is UYI 2.
I also picked up the Fiona Apple Idler Wheel for my wife. I also dig the album
edit: my boss got me a gift card for my Birthday, So just ordered AFD!!! Can't wait. Used to listen to this all the time with my bandmates after practice while they'd get high.... I couldn't stop marveling how much more awesome it sounded on vinyl.
