Shame, you want the world class players on the pitch in these finals.

Don't see where Portugal are getting a goal from now, maybe Nani but he's no Ronaldo.

Tough to call, I could see France cruising to a 3-0 win but equally I could see Portugal winning on penalties.

If I had to put some cash on it I'd put it on France.

Allez les bleus.

I have a bad feeling about.. I fear ronaldo will be celebrating with that horrible smug smirk of his. I had fancied the Germans to make him cry, but worry Portugal will be streetwise enough to stifle France & for Him to break their & everyone's hearts. I fuckin hate Him! I can see it now, & the fuckin bad form it'll put me in.

The only question mark left against Ronaldo (and Messi) is that they haven't won an international tournament. It seems Messi never will now but they are undoubtedly two of the best, maybe the best, yet that's still levelled at them. I can't begrudge Ronaldo or Messi an international trophy, their careers are befitting of it.

Portugal are average, doesn't mean they can't/won't win though.

I see the Germans were crying, they ought to try losing to Iceland.

Meh they've already equalled it in one attempt, may as well go one better. Would be ironic if Wales were to win the tournament and the only team that beat them was England.

Got a feeling Wales will win tonight, they seem to be riding a wave of momentum.

I also think they have a chance against France in the final, I don't fancy them against the Germans though.

Since the crash in 08 various politicians have made a point of saying they'd scrap Trident (our nuclear subs) if they were in power. Savage cuts to public services have been made annually while we spend £X billion on maintaining and upgrading Trident every year etc etc.

Jeremy Corbyn (leader of the opposition) has publically said if he were PM he would never push the button anyway therefore we may as well spend the money elsewhere.

As one of only two nuclear countries in Europe I think a nuclear deterrent in the UK is essential, especially while Putin is around. Europe would be more of a sitting duck than it is already.

It's slim pickings no doubt.

I admire Jeremy Corbyn to an extent he seems like a good and principled man. However he is not a real leader. Someone with more charisma was needed for the remain campaign. A lot of people weren't going to listen to Cameron on principle no matter how much sense he made. Part of the reason we're here now is Labour have made such a mess of things.

This Tory goverment has never been a particlarly strong one and yet the best Labour has mustered in opposition is Milliband and Corbyn. Their ineptitude over the past 5-10 years is as much to blame as the Tories.

Although perhaps things will change, I think I'd vote for decaying pond life over Gove.

Where's European pride?

I'm cheering on our partners on the outside, Iceland. These pansy eu member countries don't interest me anymore.
