There's a huge difference in being married to someone who used to be involved in a secessionist movement and having ties to a terrorist.

You're right, the secessionist thing is WORSE. What Ayers did 40 years ago has nothing to do with Obama. What the Palins have been up to supporting the AIP is recent. Sarah spoke at their 2008 convention. There is no defending it. Obama used Ayers for political connections in Chicago. He was fucking 8 years old when that asshole was doing his misdeeds.

Seems like 2 wrongs to me. First they let him off for killing someone, then to make up for that they lock him up and throw away the key for going and taking back his own belongings!

We will be getting an Obama "October Surprise". We just don't know what it is yet.
Even Michelle Malkin has said it's likely bullshit. She said the guy pushing it at first said "she said whitey" but then they changed their story to say "she said why'd he."
But you are right, McCain knows he can't win on the issues anymore. Time for character assassination.

Since jurors gave Simpson the black power salute in the murder trial, the jury should have worn white hoods when reading this verdict. Fair is fair.

Saikin, I agree. McCain can learn a lot from how his running mate acted tonight. She showed class, as did Biden. Obama showed class as well last week but McCain simply gave him the cold shoulder.

Randall, how the fuck can you seriously spin something we all saw with our own two eyes during the debate as being something "the Dems are spreading"? No, John McCain himself is the one who chose to act like a spoiled 10 year old during that debate and the whole nation saw it. And why don't you check the source of this report? It's Congressional Quarterly. They're not exactly known for being biased.

McCain... more like 'turned around' than 'lost'.
That Bush clip is classic. The beautiful part is how he just played for it laughs, which was cool. If that had been his dad, he would've got beat red mad, and stormed away.
He had to play it for laughs. There's really no other way around that. Though I am sure you are right about his dad, although I think McCain's temper makes GHWB look very patient. McCain would have exploded if he found himself in the same situation as Bush at that press conference.

Obama Makes McCain Very Uncomfortable

Let the record reflect that Barack Obama made the approach to John McCain tonight.
As the two shared the Senate floor tonight for the first time since they won their party nominations, Obama stood chatting with Democrats on his side of the aisle, and McCain stood on the Republican side of the aisle.
So Obama crossed over into enemy territory.
He walked over to where McCain was chatting with Republican Sen. Mel Martinez of Florida and Independent Sen. Joseph I. Lieberman of Connecticut. And he stretched out his arm and offered his hand to McCain.
McCain shook it, but with a 'go away' look that no one could miss. He tried his best not to even look at Obama.
Finally, with a tight smile, McCain managed a greeting: 'Good to see you.'
Obama got the message. He shook hands with Martinez and Lieberman '” both of whom greeted him more warmly '” and quickly beat a retreat back to the Democratic side.
