The Mummy 3 will also be DOA.
Just watch. TDK will be #1 for a 3rd week. I say The Mummy opens #3 with around $20-25mil.
Nah, it'll open to $40+ million, probably even $50 million or higher.

Well yeah. I mean I think everyone is surprised they opened so close to TDK. But like someone else mentioned, it did about what Fox was planning on.
I'm still trying to figure out why Hellboy was released just 1 week before TDK. It got steamrolled during TDK's opening weekend. 71% drop. And then another 51% drop this weekend. Universal produced and distributed it. They also made Mummy 3. And they moved Mummy 3. It was supposed to open either before TDK or the week after it (can't remember which) and they moved it to 2 weeks after. What they did with Hellboy was just stupid.

I've seen it 4 times now and yep, still awesome. Up to $314 million after 10 days, although that number might change tomorrow with actuals since this is just an estimate for the weekend. Fastest to $300 million before this was Pirates 2 at 16 days. Fastest to $400 million was Shrek 2 at 43 days. TDK will get to $400 million in 20 days or less it looks like. Pretty damn amazing.

$18.38 million on Wednesday. Domestic total is up to over $222 million now. Check this cool fact out. Its 3 weekdays are big enough to be the 4th highest opening weekend of the year behind its own opening weekend, Indy, and Iron Man. It has already set a record for the highest total for weekdays at $63.7 million and will probably be around $80 million through Thursday. Pirates 2 made $60+ million for Monday through Thursday. TDK will also have a second weekend of $70-80 million, meaning that it has three 3-day periods that would be in the top 5 opening weekends of the year. Incredible. It's a lock for $425 million at this point and will probably make $450-500 million.
