I really wished it would have happened. Even if it were terrible.

After watching this movie, I really wish they did have the balls to pull it off. It would of been truly special and a cult film even if it didn't make box office numbers or if critics panned it. Warner Bros. just went through Batman & Robin and a bunch of other flops, that they felt at the time the super hero genre wasn't working out. ...And the budget Burton and producer Jon Peters wanted was a bit too much to handle. They go into detail about this. Development hell can be a bitch.

The Death of Superman Lives: What Happened? Documentary by Jon Schnepp was released today for digital download, Blu-Ray, and DVD on the official website. I kick-started it and got it a couple hours before launch. I was allowed to watch the official stream on the site early this morning and I'll share my thoughts on the final product.

It's a really good documentary overall. It captures what was supposed to be made, Cage isn't in it; but almost everyone that was involved talks about their experiences working on the project, and pretty hilarious yet engaging. All the different concept art, the costume tests, and even Schnepp recreating certain scenes or adding motion to elements that were going to be made add more to the mystery. It clears a ton of speculation and weird rumors. The doc itself has a few problems in the final cut in terms of edits or pace; but it doesn't disappoint. Even if you aren't a comic fan you could enjoy yourself with this film. It's not too long either. Cage and Burton would of pulled it off if things got in order and Warner Bros. were willing to risk it all. I highly recommend buying it and checking it out.

I saw the new Pixar movie, "Inside Out" with some friends last night. It was really good. Very charming, funny, and heart felt. The animation is superb and probably Pixar's best film since UP. Which is cool cause this movie is directed by the same guy.

Saw Terminator Genesys. Was INCREDIBLE!!!  Huge fan of the series, and gets a lil too cute at times but Arnold and fucking Arnold and I loved it.

That's cool. I've heard mixed things about that movie. Fans like parts of it or hate it while critics have panned it as well. There's even people that liked it way better than T3 or Salvation. I may give it a rental when it comes out on DVD. It looks like a fun watch either way. I heard Arnie is the true highlight besides Clarke.

This sounds like a 1996 Demo with Slash and Zakk on guitar.

I'm getting the same vibes. That sounds like Zakk's guitar tone.

Put it on my desktop and I'll check it out real soon. Wish Bucket and the rest of his surviving family members all the best.

Update: It's quite touching. Bucket has so much soul. Anybody else listen to these tracks yet?

Saw Jurrasic World last week. It's good, think it's been overrated a little in some quarters but it's definitely the best of the 'sequals'.

Glad to hear it. Thanks for your input. I've heard similar things from a few friends of mine this past week.

Taylor Momsen is trying really hard to shed her Disney/clean image, and at times comes across as just trying too hard, even with her hotness. It sometimes comes across as "look at me" attention seeking. But she is also very young.

Now Lzzy Hale -- SHE is fucking hot. My fuckin' dream girl.

Get in line buddy! 5

I saw a couple films recently with some friends. Insidious: Chapter 2 is not a bad follow-up; but has a couple bumps along the way that hurts the pace of the movie. The ending is a bit of crab shoot. Still need to watch Chapter 3 since I've heard that's a better movie. I just don't think it needed to be a trilogy. I watched the Babadook (A criticially praised, Kickstarter funded movie from Australia) and I really enjoyed it. It's a different kind of horror with more psychological than scary to be honest. Still very good with some solid performances and ideas from a first time director. As I've already mentioned Mad Max: Fury Road is fantastic. Go see it if you haven't already and feel free to watch it again and again. It's one of those movies that benefits from the theater experience. Explosions done right.

I want to watch the new Jurassic World and Pixar's Inside Out real soon.

I've seen it twice and it's fantastic. What a lovely movie! Give George Miller your money to make more! It's a shame that we didn't get to see his vision for Justice League though. I hear Warner Bros. is still going to court him to do a future DC film if he still wants to do another property. This is an example on how to escape development hell and fire on all cylinders.
