If things like him not being into the other VR candidates bug you guys I can only imagine what you make of it when Axl eats a Parisian security guard, or is ruthlessly "held down by 5 fucking assholes when he's not even fighting", or goes off at someone who touches his car door or whatever

So I guess the next big mystery is whether the GN'R portion of Coachella will be streamed. We'll find out soon enough.

The MIDDLE solos are the legendary ones in NR. The Outro solo is good.... The first 2 solos in NR are some of his all time best. The Outro is similar in style to his here. The reason the Outro on NR sounds better is because it is played over a kick ass portion over a song. But I do not want to imply that Slash's TIL is as good as NR. It is not.
I think all of the NR solos are awesome.

I just listened to both, again. Fincks has aged well over time. It is a good solo. When Slash's solo starts, it starts pretty similar to Finck, but what takes Slash to the next level is that 2 step bend he does. Both of Robin's original solos in Better and This I Love are a better fit for the songs. They actually sound more like classic Slash than what Slash has been doing in these live shows with those two songs.

Have these performances softened your stance to the emphasis on touring? Or are you just willing to give it a pass n nothing else until the next step, whatever that may be??
No, my stance is still the same. Axl has wasted too many prime years. I want to hear new studio material before his voice is completely gone.
Get Slash & Duff to polish CD2 for a release within the next 12 months and meanwhile everyone can work on brand new material for a release within the next 3 years.

What I noticed is that since Axl can't move, you catch him just watching and listening to the band more. I think he is so fucking happy to have Slash back and at the same time is really really happy to have Fortus. Fortus should have been the guy in the old band and after 15 years and thanks to a 2 guitar set up Fortus finally gets to Shine!!!!
I love watching Melissa, so refreshing to see her up there vs Pit.
Duff was great on YCPYAAAM and Attitude. Slash ripped on Attitude. I can't wait to upload all my killer videos.

Nice one. And there are idiots out there saying Slash isn't happy? Guy seems at home to me.
Pretty fucking cool to see Slash playing with Axl again after so many years. He wasn't a fan of the ballads, but I bet he enjoyed playing those solos again. Estranged/November/Don't Cry are some of his best guitar solos.
And I bet he is thrilled to play Coma again. That was a Slash song first and Axl brought his trademark lyrics, personality, and vocals. Now bring on Locomotive!

My biggest takeaway from the two shows is that Slash's willingness to play CD1 material gives us a very good chance to see CD2 released with Slash and Duff polishing it.
I honestly don't care that much about live performance at this point. Axl has wasted so many prime years with very little studio material. I just want to hear new studio music with his voice before he completely loses it due to old age. He has a 5-10 year window. Maybe they can pump out CD2 pretty fast and then put together a brand new album within the next 5 years.
