Leaving what? The internet?

haha, good question Russ. It's not like GNR Evo is behind rigging the vote. That dubious honor goes to MYGNR (and perhaps HTGTH).

I would never in a million years consider rigging something like that. Bono makes a good argument for his opinion and I'm certain that there are other people out there who agree and feel the same way. But I just don't see anyway GN'R could win this one without some help (ala mygnr/htgth as you're suggesting).

The internet I'm leaving the internet forever if GNR  win. Not only that but I'm selling all my worldly goods and moving to India. This isn't right.

No. This has to stop. We've taken this too far. If GNR beat the Beatles on this I'm leaving.

Werewolves of london is pretty similar to Kid Rock´s "All summer long". At first I though it was a version.

yea one of the best american songwriters ever

accidentally like a martyr is one of my all time favourite songs, top 10 stuff.

my fave albums by him are the live album Stand in the Fire & prob Excitable Boy. but he's got a host of great albums really.

but perhaps my all time best zevon moment is his cameo on the larry sanders show & larry makes him play werewolves of london when he really doesn't want to.

Haven't gotten around to live in the fire yet. I got a greatest hits and fell in love with it so sought out excitable boy and the wind, gonna go from there.

I don't think it's a tie on guitar...Slash is a much better guitarist than Jimmy Page.

Monkey.......You and me... We tighter than an elastic band round an elephant dick, but seriously that's just wrong.
Many would say Slash would buy jimmy's knob cheese on amazon in the hopes it would imbue him with magical powers. But you andf me know. Slash might not do that.
That said, no "JP" no "/"

I'm not trying to bring Jimmy down...he's a great guitarist, foundational and no doubt an inspiration to many including slash.

But there's no way in hell Jimmy can play something like the live anastasia solo slash did in sydney....even if you don't want to talk about technique (as I agree there's more to things than pure shred skill - it's about playing the right thing at the right time) but on a transforms the song basis...Civil War, the solo (sick of it as well all are) in SCOM, what slash used to do in DTJ live.....hell pretty much the whole of AFD....

Jimmy doesn't have magical powers, he's just a blues guitarist like slash - one that came first and had some great ideas - but slash is a far better guitarist both in terms of technical skill and in structuring a solo to add emotion to the song the right way. Which isn't to say JP is bad at these things, but slash took those skills to the next level....probably after learning some of JP's ideas....I'll give him that.

i know. I was quite drunk when I wrote that nonsensical post. I don't like Jimmy's tone, but I do like his writting and he does obviously have great technical skill. His tone and sometimes his style grate on me however

I voted Led Zeppelin because the're winning and I like to be on the winning side.

They should do a poll on theri official website. In fact they should do a fucking ad campaign to back it too, asking people to vote the setlist.
