Wow, not high quality but I can't say I didn't enjoy that
Not sure how we'll do against better sides, we need about 20 shots to score. That said, better sides will be set up to win the game rather than just defend which may be in our favour with the pace we have.
If I was a top striker I'd be licking my lips to play against Cahill and Smalling. They look terrified.

Only scuffles by the sound of it. Probably wouldn't have made the news if it wasn't for the events of last weekend.
I forgot Russia did exactly the same thing at the last Euros. Nearly 200 arrests for fighting with Polish fans on the opening weekend of Euro 2012. Quite what they will do about this next world cup will be interesting. I suspect nothing but it will serve Russia and Fifa right if nobody goes and it's played out in half empty stadiums.

I think Dany will be losing only for the Theon and his sister to arrive and save the day.
Agree though this attack on mereen is a little out of left field. Certainly not been built up as well as Blackwater or Castle Black or even Jon v Ramsey.

Agree on the rest but the BBC is definitely favouring the stay campaign.

Spot on. We have a losers attitude when it cones to major tournaments. We play Wales in a friendly or qualifiers and we beat them. Put us in a tournament and everyone's nervous even though we're playing what is basically a lower prem/championship side with Bale. If we do get through to the later stages (would be a national embarrassment if we didn't considering it's top 3) we'll get beaten by one of the usual suspects, because we always do. We don't have the belief we can go on and beat those sides.
We need a manager with a new mentality/arrogance to instill belief. A Mourinho type.

I think Tommens a given at some stage considering the witches prophecy. It's just a case of when and how.
I read an article a few weeks ago that said if Tommen were to die the next in line to the throne via a very conpliacted route is actually Cersei. Although that was on the basis Jaime was in the Kingsguard, which he's not now. Still, would be a great irony in Cersei accidently killing Tommen and becoming Queen as a result.

Tywin was after Joffrey I think, although same season?
Season 4 was a bit of a blood bath though. Joffrey, Oberyn, Ygritte and Tywin were all pretty big characters (probably forgotten others).
Stannis and Jon (technically) last season.
All the big deaths previously have had purpose. Shocking as they may have been they drove the plot on. Now, having followed some of these characters so long if they are to die it needs purpose. It's why I had no real concern for Arya last night, what would be the point in the last two seasons just to kill her now. It'd have been a waste of screen time.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Tommen or the High Sparrow dead by the end of the season. No doubt along with a few others.

I think their are guilty England fans from the videos I've seen, but the Russian fans are a different case.
It's nasty and it looks inevitable that this will flare up again, if it does... I can't see how Russia can host the world cup in 2 years. Their may be political reasons, but you can't have millions of people from all over the world traveling there with this kind of danger.
So where else can host a world cup on short notice? England definitely would not get picked. If Trump is US president, I see a potential issue there if millions of people from all over the world are flocking to every major US city for a world cup. Travel bans would not go down well.
Germany hosted just a decade ago. Normally FIFA wouldn't want to go back so soon... that said, they'd probably make an exception.
It seems really stupid that Qatar got 2022 as well. This is the worst possible generation for holding a world cup in the middle east.
They've sent out a load more UK police which may help. The present but approachable tactic may work better than the full on riot mode the french have adopted.
Considering England have been the other nation involved in the trouble I can't seem them stripping Russia of the world cup and giving it to England. I'd guess any of the big euro nations would be the obvious choice. Germany, Spain, Italy maybe even Holland should all have the stadia and infrastructure to cope with such short notice.
Qatar was always a crazy choice, for loads of reasons and it doesn't look any better as time goes on. Then again I don't think suitability ever came into it.

Hungary were a good team once, 50 years ago. Not sure they're up to much now.
Russia now have a suspended expulsion from the tournament. Would be a very big call to kick out the next world cup hosts.
I know I'm english so may be biased but the more that emerges from the weekend the more it sounds like the english fans were properly done over. I'm sure they weren't innocent but I think the russians have far more to answer for than the english fans do.
