As I've said before, I've bought all of Axl's shit since 93. Sympathy for the Devil single, as shitty as it was. End of Days soundtrack, total shit, just for Oh My God. 02 tour tickets and merch. Greatest Hits, although I know it wasn't Axl's doing. Live Era, shit. So, I'm not sure I want to buy more shit from Axl, you get my drift. I paid for a lot of stuff, that, in my opinion, wasn't worth it, didn't have any effort put forth for it. And then for him to treat us like  he has, no good.

Flame me if you want, say I'm not a fan, but the fact is, I've stood by Axl, almost to a fault. And he's made me look like a fool to more than a handful of my friends. I've taken it as he takes my money.

IF, and that's a big IF, CD comes out and he's made amends with the fans, I might just buy it.

just because you supported Axl in the past doesn't mean you should get the album for free.   Anything you shelled out you got something in return.  The situation with the album once its out would be no different.

I got SHIT in return, mostly. I didn't say I was gonna DL it for sure, but he's not helping matters by being such a prick to the fans. Fans like me who DID support him through the years while he was jerking off somewhere.

Secondly, no offense to anyone, but complaining about Bucket releasing too much stuff when we complain about Axl releasing none, that's a bit hypocritical. Which way do you want it? If this were GNR, we'd be creaming our jeans and licking Axl's balls up, down and all around.

If Axl or MIA released a new album every five minutes, not only would I not be buying them all, I doubt I would even get to hear it all. There comes a point where its just too much. He already had a massive discography that I was only just starting to dive into in 06. What he has done in 07 ensures I will never hear all of his work, which is a shame because there is probably some hidden treasure in this overflow of releases.

It would be like MIA releasing a 10 disc set with her talking and various snippets of music, and Bamboo Banga is in the middle of it. Then comes 3 albums at once, and Paper Planes is mixed in there. Two more albums next, and you get Worldtown. Its ridiculous. Release the best stuff.

What makes the situation worse is he is taking advantage of his fans. He knows how most of his fans are against downloading his music. So its either buy all this shit or not listen to it.

If you want the best of his stuff, you can easily get recommendations. I'm not buying all his stuff, yet I respect this. It's all different styles: his Death Cube K, his jam bandy stuff, his mainstream stuff, his experimental stuff.

If you want the best, you gotta get Pepper's Ghost, Decoding the Tomb of the Bansheebot, Chicken Noodles II, Acoustic Shards. Bottom line. All the other stuff is for completists.

Still, I stand by my statement that if Axl were doing this, we'd be all over his jock.

I'm not getting this new box set, but I think there's a method to his madness. I'm guessing he's spending most of 08 touring, not releasing stuff.

If they have it I just hope some disgruntled member of staff on the list of cuts leaks every fucking song.

Sorry I just don't see how else we're going to get our hands on this music.

Exactly. Leak the fucker. I don't want to give Axl anymore of my damn money for nothing anyhow. Dick.

Only 42 out of third. I'm coming fast!

#4569 Re: The Garden » Interesting Read on Hillary... » 916 weeks ago

We may not have to worry about it. Obama's gaining fast on Hilary in the early primary states, and if he wins a couple of those, it's all over.

God damn, polluxlm, won't you give it a rest already. Jesus H. Christ, I mean, Britney's snatch is certainly good enough for me. Lol! 20

On a non-joke note, this is really interesting and I'm gonna try to do some research on it.
