If we're being honest here, every single replacement since 1990 has been a degradation to the musician that they have replaced. Judging by the majority of posts that I read on this forum, it seems to be the consensus that the 2002 lineup was far better than (what we know to be) the line-up that we have today.

Look at our lineup today. Do any of you see Fortus, Ferrar, Pittman, Ashba, or Bumble walking out on Axl? I sure as hell don't. What better do they have to do? What more are they capable of? They're all 40 something average musicians who are barely recognizable (if at all) to the general public. If these guys were to leave it would likely be because Axl chose to fire them.

Do you guys think this is what Axl was aiming for? Surely it has to get old replacing guitar players and drummers every tour simply because they get sick and tired of wasting their lives doing nothing. But if Axl is able to keep a bunch of over the hill, nowhere else to go, average at best, studio musicians on the payroll, this is one concern that he will no longer have.

This is like when Jefferson Airplane turned into Jefferson Starship and finally to just Starship. This is the Starship lineup of Axl and friends. Bumblefoot and Frank equal bargain basement.

Nice to know GnR vigorously does something, even if it has nothing to do with music.
