Many of us have waited for Chinese Democracy for a LONG time now. Fourteen years later and it looks like the album will finally be released. Over the past few years I have eagerly awaited for this album along with some other fans who have become forum staples and close friends of mine. Often I imagined how cool it would be to share the moment with my friends when Chinese Democracy finally (if!!!!) was released.
Now that we are (maybe!!!!) approaching the end of this long journey I find myself a bit disappointed. I still will buy the album and hope that the three songs we haven't heard are fantastic! I will definitely be looking forward to hearing This I Love in particular. I eagerly await to hear these three unheard songs but I am scared to get too optimistic. Prostitute (imo) was a HUGE disappointment. I then got fired up for Shackler's Revenge and was once again HUGELY disappointed. This song is a Rob Zombie b-side at best. So I am now only a month and some change away from (maybe!!) Chinese Democracy dropping and I find that the excitement has really dulled for me. We've lost the great 2001 lineup, we've found there probably are no more "Big Guns" and it looks like the best the album has to offer will be the leaks from '06.
Chinese Democracy/Better/Street of Dreams/There Was a Time/I.R.S./& Catcher N' The Rye are all solid tracks.
Riad N' the Bedouins & Madagascar are fair.
If The World/Prostitute and Shackler's Revenge are boring to me.
This leaves This I Love, Sorry and Scraped. If all three of these songs were of the same quality as my first category I would be fairly happy. Nothing can make this album good enough to live up to the hype/wait it generated but if we can avoid a total disappointment from the three remaining unknowns perhaps we can salvage our wait together with a little bit less of a fourteen year letdown!!
If this came off as negative at a time when there is finally good news after numerous disappointments I apologize but it is a true opinion and I would very much like to no how others feel.

My guess would be Better. Other than CD, or Street of Dreams (which being a ballad wouldn't be a good choice) it's the only known song worthy of a first single. I personally found Shackler's to Suck-lers!! Best case scenario is the three unheard songs are fantastic but after finding out that Prostitue is indeed song #2 I HIGHLY doubt it.

Bullshit.
Absolute bullshit.

How is that good, it was BHs song, that means they erased BHs solos and put rons on there.
That is BAD
Amen to that. Not a shot against Ron, not in the least. It just scares me to think that possibly this will be the trend for other songs that Bucket worked on.

We are about to enter an era of forced isolationism.
Those words sent chills down my spine because it is so true. This country has been full of "cattle" for years. When the lights are finally turned on to these morons they will not like what they see. A passive attitude has nearly destroyed this country, I just hope we can rebound. God help us all.

Yeah James, the window of opportunity for a Zeppelin reunion is very narrow at this point. Age (as far as getting old) sucks but these guys can't pretend it's not happening to them. Led Zeppelin (in my opinion) is the greatest rock band in the history of music so I would love to get a chance to see them but it doesn't look like it is going to happen. Hopefully my second favorite band of all time...(G'n F'n R's, surprise surprise) will do a reunion after (IF!!) Chinese Democracy runs its course. It'd be great to see some long time friends (as well as newer ones) at one of the concerts. I'd like to do it while we are still fairly young however!!! Axl is pushing 50, he better get the ball rolling or it may be the wheelchair instead!

I would go with these ten:
1.Nosferatu (the original, I don't recall the year but it is commonly regarded as the first horror film)
2.Frankenstein/Wolfman/Dracula - (counting these as one entry) not really my cup of tea but these original versions sort of paved the way for what would come later although they were much tamer by comparison to what was to come.
3.Night of the Living Dead
4.Psycho
5.The Exorcist
6.The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (original)
7.Halloween
8.The Evil Dead
9.The Shining
10.Saw

Candyman was an excellent character as well, I agree bloodyhell81...just not as "big" as Freddy, Jason and Michael. I would have Pumpkinhead and Pinhead as honorable mentions (along with Candyman) as well.

Prayers and best wishes are with your friend, hopefully he is experiencing something like Lofton did earlier. Not that an anxiety attack is pleasant but much better than a stroke or heart attack. If his speech isn't slurred nor a "drooped" face on one side then hopefully we can rule out a stroke. A heart attack (especially with the numbness on one side) is still possible but so would a panick attack be. Whatever the case I hope all turns out well and he pulls through just fine.
