He's right about Cali. I said it from day one even when I thought his campaign was a joke......if he campaigns heavily in Cali on the immigration issue and pounds the pavement til his knuckles bleed, he wins it. He didn't do that because like most republicans not named reagan he instantly assumes it will go blue. Now that he actually won he sees that he could've won the state.

I agree....to an extent. Poor people who get good grades should most certainly be allowed the opportunity to go to college....but they cant allow anything with a pulse to get grants and loans for worthless degrees and in some cases wont even get those degrees.

I've known drug dealers who go to CA state just for the grants and easy access to new customers(students). Should Joe and Jill tax payer have to foot the bill for these types to go to college? Absolutely not. I'm not sure how to remove this element from the equation though.

INteresting point but no I wouldn't call that racism. Look at the other angle......a white student with straight A's didn't get into the college they wanted because they accepted a black student with D's and F's thanks to affirmative action. Is that racism? Is it fair?

I wish Icould find the video but there's no chance as I have no idea where the event was held or what state. It was the 2008 election during the primaries. She was at some event and hanging around a bunch of guys. Clearly a photo op of course but it got awkward when she was handed a huge mug of beer. She was clearly uncomfortable and wanted out of there immediately. She was out of her element. As they were taking pics, she put the mug up to her lips but didn't actually take a drink yet everyone standing next to her did. I knew that anyone in that state who watched that video would not vote for her.

People like Reagan, Kennedy, W, and even Bill can pull off those 'common man' moments and mingle but she cant.

There's an alternative that literally takes five seconds and zero effort....its called an absentee ballot. You don't even have to leave your damn house to vote. YOu do need a postage stamp so maybe that's too much of an effort or too complicated for some voters.

No. Its one of those issues where the rest of us are supposed to pretend its difficult. I've been voting since I was 18 in two states...one red and one blue.....zero difficulties.

There's something called the internet. The DMV is on it. Every dipshit has a smart phone. Let them get smart and use it for something other than FB or Pokemon.

Yes...I understand that there is no perfectly drawn district....but a few very important parts of the state are disproportionately affected by these voter ID rules....students in Madison and minorities of Milwaukee. Thats worth noting.

I believe there was a fight about what constitutes as a voter ID. Student IDs don't count - they used to.

In addition, there was a big fight about closing down DMVs. There are almost no DMVs in Milwaukee proper. Scott Walker shut them down.

No longer are their polling places on campus either.

This seems pretty concerted to me RF.  Tell me what you think.

In a state where a few thousand votes matter...this seems important to consider.

Listen guys, this is never been my take on anything.   The DNC doesn't have to tell me things for me to make up my own opinion.

However, there are places in this country where you have to wait hours in line to even vote.

There are also places in this country where conveniently it's not as easy to get a voter ID in certain places and I don't think that's a coincidence.

I walked into my voting booth in voted in five minutes. Why is it so difficult to vote in some areas? Doesn't anyone find that a bit curious?

Bottom line is, in a democracy don't you want is many people who are as eligible to vote as possible? Because I am still of the belief that this is a strategy to  make it just a little bit more difficult to vote or more inconvenient to vote.
