i'll be asleep the next four years if this is the type of thing that makes or breaks a campaign...

#5173 Re: The Garden » More McCain /Palin/Karl Rove adss are false » 914 weeks ago
yes...what is a "community organizer"...hardly worthy of anything, right Palin? right Lofton?
She stuck her foot right in her mouth there...that was plain stupid.
And how dare you blame Democrats for this heightening of the stakes...this is exactly how Republicans have wons the last two elections...
#5174 Re: The Garden » Charles Gibson interviews Sarah Palin » 914 weeks ago
That was a good interview...I don't think she gave a straight answer to any questions....the brilliance of Palin?
Every single question was answered with a VERY ambiguous response.
If you want to praise her ability to dodge direct answers, well she is awesome at that.
#5175 Re: The Garden » Obama calling McCain "computer illiterate" » 914 weeks ago
Yeah, I was a little concerned at first about the bump McCain has received...but this happens immediately after all national conventions...I"ll bet it was no coincidence that the RNC picked their dates so quickly after the DNC.
Fact is...all candidates enjoy a bump for a week or two after...but things settle down and move back toward where they were...
This Palin-mania that republicans seem to be enjoying will get stale and old just like any bag of potato chips that's been open for two weeks.
I hope they get back to issues and stop mud-slinging, I really do.
#5176 Re: The Garden » Obama: McCain, Palin ‘Lying’ About Maverick Claims » 915 weeks ago
You're all right! I'm wrong!...McCain is the savior...we all want more of the same...and although I can't promoise Obama will be different, I can promise McCain will be!
We're all getting bogged down in this mud-slinging BS when the fact of the matter is I don't like how things are...and I don't see how you can seperate Bush from McCain. Maybe they don't hang out together, but they think similarly.
Answer me...and especially I'm asking you Lofton...what is so god damned great about the Republican party...what is it about organized religion, pro-life, corporate loving "mavericks" that will help this country in any way? Convince me that they deserve my vote. I see NO appeal in the Republican values...
They may however be better at selecting candidates than appeal to the masses on very superficial factors...but when it comes down to what being a standard Republican means...why don't you just come right out and say you're a Federalist....because Republicans 50 or 75 years ago were not where near what they are about now.
We are so divided in this country and that's a horrible thing. This election will come down to the end...hell...Obama could win the popular vote just as Gore did and still lose, or vice versa...this is all bad for our country...
#5177 Re: The Garden » Knockout blow to the Obama campaign? » 915 weeks ago
My favorite fact about Palin is that in a dispute over local politics, Palin intended to dismiss a local official for disagreeing with her over censorship at the public libraries and a merging of the museum system...
I've heard this policy before, either you're with us or your against us?
#5178 Re: The Garden » The swing state polls are in..... » 915 weeks ago
This was the republicans simple strategy...women vote for women? Brilliant
#5179 Re: The Garden » How Obama Blew It » 915 weeks ago
Wow Lofton...all you do is smear democrats...christ
#5180 Re: The Garden » Knockout blow to the Obama campaign? » 915 weeks ago
One can safely assume it will be more of the same...I don't see how McCain is such a Maverick...he falls in party line whenever he has to...
You have to agree on that...he may waiver for awhile on some issues but when it comes down to it...his policy is the same on the war as Bush's...pay lip service to the voters but still do whatever the hell you want...
Education...well education is only really for rich people in this country anyway...Phoenix is a shit hole when it comes to public schools and I'm sure most of Arizona is the same with their extremely low taxes and retirement communities that don't pay a property tax...
There is nothing in this candidate for me...nothing...it's more status quo...and posturing...I can't say I'm a democrat...but I'm definately not a republican by any stretch
