I'd fall in love with those I mean her too.
Look we don't know what happened to Axl and Slash personally. Maybe there is more behind than everyone seems to think they know. Axl is talking about it now and well that's what he is deciding to open up with at this moment in time. Wrong or right at least he is talking. I am a fan of both Axl and Slash and I just take both their words about each other with a grain of salt.
That's my boy!!!!!!! spot on and WOW, the cans on Stephanie.

The only interesting aspect of the CD era to me is the 2000-01 period when the pieces of the puzzle were finally coming together and an actual album was finally on the drawing board. He assembled a super group and had a slight chance at another 'lightning in a bottle' moment. It got flushed down the toilet, and he simply refuses to acknowledge anything from that time frame even though the bulk of the material was recorded by that line up.
It would be like during the UYI promo, Axl ignoring all aspects of that recording process and instead moaning about Traci Guns.
He doesn't even have a clue as to how to promote his album, which is frustrating considering the fact he seems so intelligent. People who bought Chinese Democracy and/or are interested in the saga itself would like some in depth discussion from the man himself. These diatribes against Slash are unnecessary, and if necessary, are about 10 years too late.
I 100% agree, and I know AR was referring to Zutaut's comment about 91-92 actually....the album I want to hear is what should have came out before the 2002 world tour and before the MTV catastrophe happened. Summer 2002 was the time....period.

Then, you had the Tommy mindblowing and earth shattering quotes from 2003/2004.
He was probably right - given that era was the peak of Buckethead's influence - if not a 'Buckethead album' - before Bumble (though again I liked his parts on the final product), Frank and others got introduced, 'The Blues' got 'punched in the face' and became 'Street of Dreams', etc.. (In short, the evident 'toning down' that has happened to the project, the band, etc., since Buckethead left. Or perhaps I should say the natural toning down.)
Hilarious - if you join the dots - how Tommy can say that given the evident direction at that particular moment in time, after his 'nothing under it [Bucket's bucket]' comments....
Those supposed 1999 sessions still hold some interest for me, especially songs like 'CD', 'Scraped', and 'Better'.
BTW - we are still hearing hype for the unheard material: i.e.: the guy who said that the '99 'Chinese Democracy' (song) would 'blow us away' (who was that now?). So, it is still going on, in retrospect. And, when you look at the musicians who came through the door (Buckethead, Brian May, Moby, Thomas Baker, and many others) and were left off the tracks, there may be some justification for it.
AR
nobody ever said the 99 CD (song) would blow us away.....Scraped and Better were 100% not around in 99....

Poor insignificant Robert John just got humiliated as well. I think Axl is working through A list of "detractors" with these online rants.
I dont know what that guy done but Axl and del using this platform to attack him is low down dirty imo.
that guy Robert John done sued Axl as well....:haha:

yeah, it would suck to have more music with Axl singing on it....with Axl in "control" you may never ever hear a note of that other music.

considering SRV is a much better player than Slash who is a much better player than Robin, I don't hold too much hope on Robin doing SRV type stuff either.

Geffen record execs like Jim Barber saying it was as good as the best of 70's Pink Floyd didn't help....neither did Rolling Stones David Wild saying it was Physical Graffiti remixed by Beck and Reznor. Those are 1999/early 2000 quotes that I latched and held on too. Then, you had the Tommy mindblowing and earth shattering quotes from 2003/2004. The fans did extrapolate on those quotes as did the media too. The record got built up by everybody-fans, bandmembers, media, hangers on like Bach, etc.
I also like how Axl mentioned that if you don't like Chinese you won't like the next one either. It is the same band and was recorded during the same time frame so it can't be that much different. I'll dig it I'm sure but Axl has drawn strong battle lines and has now said essentially he only cares about his hardcore fans.

granted, I don't know if the lawsuits were frivolous or not. However, everything you are saying is an assumption as you weren't there and you are only basing your arguments on hearsay from one party. The simple fact is two lawsuits were filed and two were dropped.

not sure what you do, but that is not just business. I have dealt with literally hundreds of lawsuits and legal matters for my company for 17 years. You make good faith efforts to resolve disputes. You don't file fivolous lawsuits, cost the defendant thousands of dollars to defend it, then just drop it. Sorry. It is not just business. It is being an inconsiderate asshole.
For example, Alex Lifeson from Rush filed a frivolous lawsuit against the company I work for. The lawsuit eventually was dismissed by the court because he didn't have a case against us. We paid 1.5 million in legal fees to defend ourself. He later apologized and said he felt bad for doing it. Well, fuck you 1.5 million later.
