I'm just happy they have extended this awesome show for 4 more seasons!

Definitely a good show. First episode didn't sell it, but I can see the potential and that potential wants me to see more.
I can see a classic in the making here.

Solid show, would recommend.

That Dany moment was so soapy. The way she just popped into the scene like she just came from the makeup chair and entered the set, which is probably exactly what really happened too.
Middling episode with some good scenes. We have definitely been in filler territory for the last 2 or 3 shows. Those dudes getting hanged reminded me a little of the similar scene from Lonesome Dove, which was cool. Clegane begging to cut off at least a hand was funny. I'd like to see more of those fellas in that cult.
Kinda off topic, but Lonesome Dove was the best damn western ever made and possibly the best mini-series ever imo. I'm gonna have to watch it again now.

Listen guys, I almost certainly get a wee bit of cash in the next 2 weeks... unless I take a running roundhouse headbutt to one of my managers, which is long overdue and well deserved., if I can keep control of my anger and get my Christmas bonus... is a 3ds XL really worth the money? Is there enough games to make it worth while for an adult? I think the new Zelda looks awesome, Ocarine of Time is one of my faves of all time.... but is there anything else to make it worthwhile splashing out all that dough?
I, my wife and kid already have a 3ds and I just yesterday splashed out on the new Zelda xl version. You can't go wrong with that machine. If you combine all the triple A titles on all the current consoles at the moment I bet the 3ds has more than them all combined. You just need to be a fan of games and gameplay rather than graphics. Obviously the 3ds can't compete graphically, but for pure game fun it cannot be beaten, hell the sales figures speak for themselves. One gripe I have with the machine is the batterry life, it kinda sucks, but I mainly play with it plugged in.
.......and never say is it worth while for an adult. That kills me whenever anyone says that. Is it really any more mature/realistic that you survive 8 bullets in a call of duty game than Jumping on a goomba? It's all fantasy at the end of the day and the bottom line is what gives you joy. I bet you have just as much fun playing Mario, Zelda etc as any other game. Scratch that, I bet you have MORE fun.
I personally love a good game, regardlesss of the machine it is on or how it looks. If it is awesome then it is awesome.
3ds, go for it.

Bought Max Payne 3 on Thursday. Beat it Friday night. It was awesome. Also bought LA Noire. Hated the characters. Didn't like the stories, hated the game play. Boring. Forced myself to finish it.
I'm eyeing Dead Space and Arkham City next. Is DS any good?
If you liked the original Resident Evil games then you will like Dead Space. Very similar vibe and extremely atmospheric. Make sure to turn the lights off and if you're feeling really brave, a good set of headphones.
Olorin: The 1st and 2nd Call of Duty games are amazing WWII games and my personal favs, all the characters are based on real people and their experiences during the war. Play on the highest difficulty, yes you will die A LOT, but so much more rewarding.
Other awesome games :
Battlefield 1942
Company of Heroes
Heroes and Generals
Red Orchestra 2
Rising Storm
Medal of Honor Frontline
Medal of Honor: European Assault
.....and more worth playing:
Sniper Elite V2
Men of War
Hidden and Dangerous 2
Commandos Strike Force

Your assumption of me being anti-American could not be further from the truth. My views are more in line with not wishing countries (any country) stick their noses in to events that have little to do with them and claim it is for the good of humanity blah blah blah. Some Syrians killed other Syrians, so let the powers that be bomb more Syrians to add to the kill total. Anyone seeing the logic here?
If anything an attack on Syria is more likely to bring further destabilisation to the region along with strengthening the will of a large populace of the Arab world. 2 things that are not good for anyone.
I think Lomax understood what I was saying pretty well. Actually I thought you did too because originally you said:
Everyone I've spoken to about this, and it's been quite a few people because its on everyone's mind, don't want this to happen. There's no immediate threat to us, we should stop getting involved in the business of others, and no one wants to help al qaeda
Anti-American? No. Anti-Stupidity? Yes.

I'm fucking sick of this attitude toward the US, I have to hear this non-stop every time I visit Europe, and it's shit.
Maybe you could consider all those people who you have to listen to none stop actually have a valid point.
There is no doubt that upholding international law is the right thing to do. Failure to do so undermines the UN
and their collective security system, and makes everyone less safe.
Attacking Syria right now is not upholding international law. In fact it is breaking international law, no UN resolution has been made to allow attacks as of yet.
And napalm is illegal in fact, it was made illegal by the UN in 1980 and the US hasn't used it since.
Mark 77 bomb, I guess it has a different name so that's ok then? The phosphorus bombs (classed as chemical weapons) and uranium weapons used in Falluja too? I guess chemical weapons are ok depending on who uses them.
Further, the US didn't go into Rwanda because Somalia was a cluster fuck, and our leaders at the time were reluctant to send more of our troops into the slaughter.
I prefer to think the more logical reason was the lack of strategic importance and or beneficial resources in Rwanda.
Anyway we could go around and round on this subject, but I said how I feel on the subject. We will just have to agree to disagree.

"I think the official reason for this is to discourage the use of weapons deemed to be inhuman."
Yes because napalm and many many other weapons never fell in to this category.
I personally am so sick of this crap. Mind your own business. If Syrians want to kill each other so be it, let them do it.
I don't remember anyone trying to sort out Rwanda when their goverment was slaughtering their own people.
I wonder why?

Are all modern games just shoot'em ups? Been playing the Uncharted series, working my way through 3 just now, love it but I do find the never ending baddies I have to shoot a bit tiresome.
Looking for something to play next but seems like every game I check out is just more walking around with guns shooting shit up, surely theres something else out there, any recomendations?
