A leaked version labeled 2013 on the file (but no idea if it was from then) this had different guitars particularly in the second half of the song. The "it it opens your eyes" had more of a chuggy almost dancy riff a bit like the rhythms in shacklers. It was less 'busy' in some sections guitarwise but then there were also some very fast shred runs towards the end that sounded like bucket/bumble.
3. A version around 2018 that I suspect may have been a fan composit of the previous two versions. It generally sounded like the end of days version but with some of the shred guitars added over. It was a bit messy in places with guitars conflicting.
I think all of these had the same vocal track though. Although the 2013 one is not mixed/mastered for release properly compared to End of Days so bits like "Gotcha" sound a bit different cos they are not as loud.
The version your talking about had a clip leak in 2013 on a clip that had snippits of some remixes on it as well, But the full version with Ron in one channel and a mono version in the other leaked on 2018 i think. He also did guitar takes for Going Down, Silkworms and later on Atlas
They do have the same vocal take. although the one on the 2018 leak sounds like it hasn't been EQ'd or anything.
Sounds like the version you may have heard was a fan mix version using EOD version and rons guitar take.

I don't think I ever bothered listening to it. Hell...I had went eons before finally listening to that version of Silkworms with Ron.
The only version of OMG I've heard is the one on the soundtrack.
That 2010s era of leaks where it's the same songs over and over to the point some of them were fan edits turned me off to the whole thing.
After reading your post I would like to hear it.
I don't remember another Shacklers Revenge leaking...other than that sketch on the Village discs.
I can send you them when i get chance, but the Shacklers remix is truly awful lol. But OMG remix with new vocals interests me, especially the wilder guitar intro, Bucket never played on OMG to my knowledge & I wonder if it's him.

Brain was asked to work on six remixes for the band one of which ssems to be omg . Bizarrely this has been largely forgotten by people. Perhaps they instead assumed he meant the version of the song that leaked with Bumblefoot guitar on (at least retrospectivly it leaked around 2018-ish). However that version does not have new vocals and whilst the new guitar solo by BBF can certainly be described as wild, it’s clear that it’s not on the intro or even a remix

Given he said that in 2008, the 6 that must have existed are below, and we have 5 of them. This was years before anyone heard that Brain and Reece Sorry thing existed.

But my guess outside of Perhaps by itself is maybe a Live Glastonbury album with Perhaps and maybe The General as bonus tracks.

This is so true. The only reason the band even has fans and glimmers of media interest anymore is that every few years we get a leak that excites us and the press.

The leakers have done the band’s test marketing. If a particular release does not do as well as expected, a follow-up might surpass expectations. The Beatles didn’t stop working when “Magical Mystery Tour” flopped compared to the previous movies. They kept releasing new music.
GnR apparently has at least an entire album with Axl vocals on it. Allow Duff and Slash to contribute songs and they can easily get two albums ready to go.
Just release something already.
The reason they have fans is music from AFD an UYI era and for the older fans the nostalgia of hearing them, most fans have no idea about leaks at all. We are the small percentage, most fans have no idea what The General for example is

I uploaded this to youtube but it got pulled quick by whoever has rights to rapidfire. so ill put it here for anyone who wants to listen.
It's closure by rapidfire but i ran kevin Lawrence's guitars through some amp mods and distorted his tone. Boosted axl's vocals too. Sounds fuller than the original version
