Bizarre trivia. Axl Rose destroyed GN'R because of his "vision" to sound like Nine Inch Nails while Slash and the others wanted to sound like AC/DC. 20 years later and Axl not only reunites with Slash, but joins AC/DC. You can't make up this stuff. Axl is the greatest troll in music history.

Saw it Friday afternoon and the first two thirds of it is very messy. Bizarre storytelling and editing. But the last one third of it is just a great knock down drag out similar to Avengers. Loved seeing Batman/Superman/Wonder Woman interact with each other.

In my opinion the end of that song has Axl's best singing he has ever recorded.
Definitely some of his best vocals. Also really like the guitar riffs at the very end. Underrated song.

Think About You is very good, especially when you consider Izzy was probably writing about heroin instead of a girl. I really love the last 30-40 seconds of it and how it leads into SCOM.

I LOVE Skynyrd but....
GNR was like Skynyrd part 2!
I consider GNR a much better, more evolved version of Nazareth although they had many influences obviously.
I am not sure if we can boil it down to just one band, but Axl did say that Skynyrd played a big part in his vision for Sweet Child. Without that song they would be more of a cult band like the Dolls or something.

Absolutely. Put em in a time machine, take em wherever. 1960s-70s doing a battle of the bands with Stones, Who, Zep, etc. or send em to the future. They blow em all off the stage and those bands stand there in awe.
I'm as big of a Zeppelin fan as anyone, but I have to agree. GN'R was the total package for a brief period of time. Might sound strange but I think Skynyrd is another one with an incredible peak that burned out too fast.
My mom was lucky enough to see Skynyrd in concert back in the mid-70's. I look at YouTube vids of them in that time period and find them to be one of the best of the best that I've seen.

Izzy is sending VERY specific, hidden messages. He's not stupid. There's something that went on behind the scenes, we don't know about.
I think he wanted a 25% take, and they balked. All three of them.
I think you are onto something there for sure. Money is a divisive thing.
