Many a band would love to be able to say they have 500,000 hardcore fans in the US and about another 1.5 million worldwide. Any record company in the world be interested in those numbers.....especially if they were sitting on other new material and a back catalog to kill for. Doing business with Axl Rose is still a profitable situation. If you don't think so, then you are the one who is delusional.

Intercourse, the reunion thing is way old and should have been put squarely to bed by Axl's comments. Please show me the quote from VR...I assume you are talking about the Velvet Rope....I frequently go there and have never seen a post to that effect.

Commy, agree...just found that mygnr post interesting and went back and read Axl's chats. Interesting stuff and alot of little things jive.

they won't get any exclusives! No way in hell....the situation will be better for a record release though....no real sales expectations, low costs, etc. Just a normal record release. There is enough hardcore fans worldwide to easily justify another album. It is no where near the early 90's, but it is a solid following for any normal band. And, for the record, here is Axl's quote about their contract with UNI.
"Universal has Guns under contract but I own the name."
IF THERE IS STILL A CONTRACT AFTER ALL THE SHIT THAT WENT DOWN FOR 15 YEARS, THEN YOU CAN REST ASSURED THERE WILL BE SOME FORM OF FUTURE RELEASES.....common sense tells me that.

tough to tell but alot of it seems legit after the way things went down over the last month or so...The fact they are still under contract with Uni shows me that future releases are intended.

they also don't consider the fact that the Best Buy deal recouped all the costs and settled all the issues between Axl and Geffen/Uni......which is huge for potential future releases by the new band and hopefully, the old band as well. That is not negative at all.

yes he was wrong about that but all nine songs were on the cd and like I said the album was not mastered until October. Someone at Uni may have thought those tracks were final versions and still could have known that all the finished material was turned in. Point is, Axl may not be completely in control anymore...which is good for getting material, whether or not it ends up being Gnr material or solo material. The Best Buy deal just seems like a way to earn a quick buck and clean the slate for hopefully, potential future releases.

it was 20 last week and 18 this week....not exactly taking the worl by storm but up is up. I actually heard the song the other day....first time ever.
