The hardest thing to do is to try and step back from being a fan to being an outside listener

when I listen, I try to hear a song and think "WOW, my brother, my best friend, my whoever would love that.

on CD............. the only songs I hear that fit that mold honestly are Better *which I hate* but I can be objective and hear the single quality in it, and "Sorry"

the rest... no

This would've been an amazing album in the mid 70's late 70's early 80's back before music became single driven. Cause the album from start to finish is a great trip there just really isn't a single piece that really catches lightning in a bottle and appeals to the masses.

you are bodering on no credibility at all.......Bon Jovi, your two faced posts here vs HTGTH-you kiss quite a lot of ass over there still. For a Southern Boy, I expect a little more. Buzz stays consistent, you are like a waffle. Seriously, choose a side and stick to it. It is obvious you don't like the new album or the new band, just come out and scream it...THERAPY.:nervous:

16 Good point though. If Axl is content with the current interest/sales data concerning GNR, then there's no reason for fans to feel the opposite. If he's serious about moving forward, then there's nothing wrong with moving forward while not being on top of the world.

In fact, any musical output in the future could be more interesting without the insane expectations attached. Go check out that Bucket/Brain jam I posted in the kick ass vids thread in Black Hole section. I'd love to see Axl tackle something like that even though I know it would never go top 10. All I care about is good music.

That is kind of what I was saying....

Burning, it is pretty well known that Best Buy bought between 1.3 to 1.6 million units so 1/3rd of the stock is gone. Just sayin.

Mikka, yada yada yada......same old song and dance, thread after thread. Last I checked, Axl was a big part of creating that "brand" name and he currently owns the right to use it. It is what it is. If he wants to make albums that don't sell up to your standards, he is well within his right to do so. 19

CD #19 and Better #20 again on the Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Charts....still hanging in there.

The album is #30 on the Billboard album chart this week.

fyi, this Billboard info comes out every Thursday-officially. World Chart sales always come out on Friday. To me, these are the 3 most important charts to track the album's success...or lack thereof! wink
