we'll get another album and it wasn't anti climatic for me......it was closure and I don't mind the silence after he did all those chats. It is what it is. Happy New Year.

Well, I want to stop using the Lord's name in vain...after that, I want to  be a better father to my daughter and husband to my wife. God bless to all....regardless if you don't agree with me.:haha:

no outside writers were needed and Axl certainly didn't need any hip hop type of producers helping him. I will have to say he just needed someone to tell him "that is shit" and someone who could have convinced him of that. Unfortunately, most of those people may have been fired. Brian May alluded to the production issues in one of his recent posts. He said he was worried about Axl's voice being buried in the production.

Now, in the end, none of the "if's" matter as Axl had all the time and money in the world to make the record. I think he did the best he could and this is what we get. A fractured album from a fractured individual. I don't think he could do better left to his own devices. The good thing for me is that I really dig his eclectic tastes, but I can see where people don't like it.

I've listened to Hendrix, mainly in my teenage years. Now you're at the point where you're using albums instead of "legendary songs". In comparing Hendrix to Slash, you have to use his entire discography while comparing it to a couple Slash songs.

If you're going to compare discographies, do it fairly.

the fact you are even comparing them at all is a little silly....with all due respect. And, don't insinuate I am desperate in this argument. This is a complete knockout. Comparing Slash to Hendrix in any capacity is like comparing Axl to Dylan......WAY WAY WAY in different leagues.;)

it is not Gnr...it is Axl and his management.

#5667 Re: Guns N' Roses » CD - One million copies sold » 906 weeks ago

the money issue and investment issue is no longer a part of an intelligent discussion among fans. The Best Buy deal erased the 13million in one stroke of a pen. In any case, Axl's business dealings with Geffen have absolutely NOTHING to do with the art and the finished product and it's relation to the record buying public. Seriously, money is irrelevant to both parties in the long term. Fans have no business bitching about dollars spent that aren't theirs. Now, the length of time to record the album is different...whether or not you like the songs is different. It affects us, the consumer, and it affected the sales of Chinese. People simply got tired of waiting and that is a legitimate argument. People may not have liked the album and that is a legitimate argument....money invested between two rich entities is not.

He has his moments when he's not too busy being buried in a Matchbox 20 record....

keyboards and synths started in the late 60's early 70's....and I don't necessarily want catchy and mainstream.
