Navarro is easily as good as Slash and in my opinion Jane's Addiction's Nothing's Shocking is on par with AFD. Great guitar player from a great band. Navarro's solo on Three Days from Ritual de lo Habitual is huge.

Navarro could do all the Finck parts and he'd do better. I'd be much more interested in seeing the band live with Dave Navarro.

On the other hand I still don't understand the '2 years of touring' plans. That's too long for the size of this GN'R, not to mention they toured the world 2 times already under the Chinese Democracy flag. It's just the 'Better video in a week or so' type of daydreaming.
Mikka, if they release another cd in the fall of 2009, again-like Axl alluded to, then two years of touring off and on is not a lot. I don't think they plan to literally go on the road for two years.

Have u had a chance to sit down and listen to Chinese Democracy all the way through? Your thoughts on it?
Yes. I have to say that I pretty much love it. The way I have been describing it has been 70% awesome and 30% really weird, but after a few listens... The weird becomes awesome again. I don't know if it's the songs or the fact that I just enjoy hearing that guy's voice or both, but I am a fan. It's not GnR as we know it... It feels more like an Axl solo record... Probably because as music lovers, we were able to get a feel for the old GnR dynamics and the personalities of each member in the band. I know very little about this band so it's hard to connect with each member sonically like I did before. People have been commenting on how long it took to make but I kind of don't believe he was working on all THESE songs the whole time. I'm sure there have been versions, stuff that got scrapped, breaks, line up changes, personal time... I'm speculating of course, but having worked on so many projects I know that there are a million things that go down before you even decide on the track listing.
I pretty much feel the way he does.:/

Falcons can beat Arizona and I'll take Philly over the Vikes. I agree on Baltimore as their defense can be so dominating at times. The Boys from the "U" are complete studs...Ed Reed and Ray Lewis. I'll also take Indy over San Diego.
As for Dallas, can we equate them to the "new" Gnr?!!!! Trainwreck.:o

Axl definitely said they were thinking about touring but nothing was set....a theatre tour in the US would be just fine with me.

so I got the Falcons going and they stop the Rams to win. Glance at the corner of the screen and Carolina is down by one with 6 seconds left. Carolina scores with one second left to kill our number two seed. Fuck. Oh well, Falcons fans are just happy to be in the playoffs.
