I do not believe in fake planes or cgi or anything like that, but the speed at which the buildings collapsed has always bothered me. A large object free falling from 1,300ft would take roughly 9 seconds and that's in a vacuum (no atmosphere), now add in the resistence of just our atmosphere (oxygen etc) and that will add another second, bringing the time to fall to roughly 10 seconds. The buildings took roughly 11 seconds to fall.
Are we to believe that the intact mass of the building underneath the area of collapse could only offer the same resistance of air? Thats just not possible, unless those resistances are removed in advance of the falling object.
Anywho, I don't really know either way what happened, but the speed of collapse has always been a problem for me, including building 7.
The buildings were also designed for passenger aircraft impacts, they were designed with the biggest passenger planes at the time, and although I can't remember exactly which model of plane it was, I do remember it wasn't much smaller than the actual planes that hit them.
Also in regards fires, here is one example below, I know of others and even worse examples.

Just one last thing on the subject of it taking too many people and that it would have leaked, the manhattan project had over a million people working on it for years in total secrecy. Regarding a government not doing such a thing, it is now known and admitted that the gulf of Tonkin incident was staged.

This however was more like Robin Hood. Fail on every level. Forced and cheap homages to the previous films, token black men and a crew that doesn't seem to care at all when somebody dies. Seriously, they don't even mention it, like it never happened.
That being said, a proper directors cut (+45 to 60 mins of extra footage) could make this a decent flick. As it is it just feels extremely rushed.
Agreed 100%

Just watched Prometheus.
Now I'm a huge Alien fan and as such I would be expected to go easy on it.
.....but....
To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. The movie created more questions than answers, this was the movie that fans wanted to give answers (it failed). Acting was subpar from a lot of the cast and so many things just didn't make sense in the story, the script for this movie was horrendous and the editing seemed too heavy handed.
It may be improved from a directors cut down the line, but honestly who cares?
Not me.

Man I've no way of getting there now. I only missed the train by 3mins, and I agree, I reckon something is gonna go down tonight. Sorry to those going, but I hope its the usual gig because if I miss anything out of the ordinary I'm gonna be double pissed.
On the brighter side, it was a spontaneous thing with me and I was going to buy our tickets outside, so at least I'm not out of pocket.

I'm all for new music and like the rest of you, wish for a new album, but that clip sounded like crap (to me). Hopefully if its real its just an intro to a song because it ain't doing it for me.
I am sure its fake, but if not, I hope its one of the weakest songs they have for a new album...............................Not impressed.

Oh, and if you wanna get a glimpse of the villain for the inevitable sequel, stick around to the midway point in the credits.

I thought is was very good (not amazing), but very good. Just go in there and expect a well done Marvel film. No more or no less, and you won't be disappointed.
The 3d sucked ass with too much judder in the fast pace scenes, I recommend seeing it in 2d.

If you intend to play online a lot, then I would go Xbox, otherwise they are both fairly even in the games department, except PS3 has the bluray player.
I personally prefer the xbox, but still play my PS3 a bit too.
