Chinese Democracy is at #7 on the Hot Mainstream Rock tracks after 5 weeks on the charts. It has slipped from a high of #5.

My favorite moment, head and shoulders above every other moment, was Farm Aid. Original band at the height of their powers. Sold out Farm Aid crowd expecting SCOM or Patience or Jungle......no. New song called Civil War. Entire band looking badass....Popcorn all fucked up falling in to the drums. Me, I'm waiting all day long watching FarmAid...22 years old, thinking Gnr was the next Zep, the next Stones. The boys come out and prove to me they are the complete shit...the total package. Then, after I am floored by Civil War, they decide to go straight punk with Down on the Farm....jaw dropped...testosterone flying. Dick Clark speechless.......ooooohhhhhhh! Axl throws the mic down after "have a good fuckin night" and the tv screen goes completely blue.

I hear new shit all the time...it is a very dense record but it still comes out pretty damn clear.

that was kind of my point.....There is a good argument to suggest Axl is just cutting his losses. No personal promotion by him, exclusive deals for the album and two songs in a soundtrack and video game. Just easy ways to get some income up front.:/ You put out enough songs as singles and wait to see if one catches fire. If it doesn't, you pack it in and go the reunion route. If something hits, you try to put together the best "new " Gnr possible for a tour. There is a reason that they eliminated the names of bandmembers from the official site posting.:thumbup:
