No rap artist has sold more records than Gnr on a worldwide basis....I amended my post above....again, certain rap acts sell for 2-5 years then sell nothing....rock acts have big loyal longstanding fanbases .

name me a rap artist who has sold more than Gnr and AC/DC....what about Floyd, ZEP, The Beatles, Stones.....show me one rap artist who has more catalog sales than big rock acts? Here is the list of the top selling acts in the US.....WHERE ARE THE RAP ARTISTS? Tired of hearing people don't buy rock, they do. Good rock records are purchased and purchased over long periods of time. Most rap artists have a shelf life of like 4-5 years and then their sales sharply decline. Axl will hold his own against Kanye and has a good chance of beating him straight up.

That's a bit of a reach. I don't think anyone thinks Tommy's playing on CD is earth shattering. For one thing, it doesn't need to be earth shattering. It just has to go with the context of each song, and in fairness to Tommy, I think people should ease up on any harshness simply for the fact he is buried in quite a few of these tracks. Even in moments where he does shine(IRS), he's competing with too many other sounds. He certainly earns his paycheck on Riad, and while I do like Duff, I cant imagine him playing on that. Its a slight step outside of his comfort zone.
thanks....most all the old and new members are quality musicians with their own style. In reality, Duff and Tommy are probably the most alike.:peace:

I suspect your wrong....Duff just copied Slash by his own admission. Anyhow, Velvet sucked and Duff is now a dried up, washed up tea toddling business man. Give me the guy who has been a tried and true rocker since he was 13.:mosh:
yea, I know, I'm the only Tommy Stinson fan on the planet....blah blah blah.

I'll give you a break....I like Duff too and of course he could have done fine. However, the needless digs at Stinson bug the fuck out of me. Period.

that Snakepit song was god AWFUL and the Street Child solo was as out of tune and pitchy as Robin's on TIL....too funny. WE HEAR SIMPLY WHAT WE WANT TO HEAR.
