The guys in his mid 50's to be fair, Slash don't look so cool without the tophat these days either.

I think he actually looks healthier than he did a few years ago.

It's his body and his choice, but to put it into perspective,

Mick's two decades older.

Duff's in the same age group. Hell, he's on the same stage!

Age is a sorry excuse for Axl. It's laziness and the proverbial appetite that have gotten him to this.

The hybrid thing was first mentioned by mygnr member wasted as his pipe dream reunion lineup. He's the one who coined the term hybrid for this thing. It may have been a lucky guess but he said that right after Slash opened his mouth. After that the hybrid thing spread like wildfire.

The unique relationship between Guns and their online fanbase has certainly evolved to another level. First, the reunion rumors took hold after Slash planted the tidbit about tensions easing. Ever since, we've been doing the press' dirty work by feeding the mainstream click-bait media with new clues as well as terminology. Kind of reminds me of the reports during the CD era that Geffen people read the forums to find out what was going on with the album 14

I recall in 2010, Guns' asking price was $1 million per show. This time around, Axl should make roughly the same amount of money for himself after the overhead. Slash would carry an additional pricetag, as would any other senior member.

Representatives for the band, as well as Coachella producer Paul Tollett and agent Ken Fermaglich at United Talent Agency, could not be reached for comment. Executives at AEG, which will operate the new Vegas arena, also did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Billboard is as reliable as it gets, I reckon. But even they lack confirmation as it is.

Do you really think it'll be  Richard Fortus & Frank Ferrar or whoever playing with Axl Slash & Duff?  I just can't see that in any way.

5 bucks says we see a hybrid lineup in Coachella instead of a full show from an AFD/UYI lineup.

The guy who owns the name decides who plays with him.

Who was that guy again?

If you've seen recent interviews with JJ, he's exhausted. Not Joss Whedon/Avengers 2 exhausted; but tired and needing a break none the less.

Film directing can be an exhausting job on any budgetary scale, because the individual workload is more or less the same. On independent level, there's more hands-on work related to other work areas, such as producing and logistics. On mega-budget, there are all the talking heads that are worried about their jobs. These people oft work in marketing, meaning it's tiresome to find a creative bone in their body.

If you put the honest effort in, it's draining and going for seconds straight-up is really the last thing I'd imagine Abrams would want. This also has to do with the scheduling demands. Star Wars is a holiday tentpole - the finished product needs to be turned in on a specific date, or shit will happen like a domino effect. If a delivery date is missed, the big machine that supplies the DCP's to theater chains runs on empty and you can imagine where that leads. The ad campaigns become a huge and embarrassing misfire if the finished film is non-existent on the date given. Words like clusterfuck or quagmire hardly begin to cover it.

Still to see the latest Mission Impossible, but I noticed a passing mention by the producers on how writer-director Christopher McQuarrie has "not been sleeping" for months in order to meet the delivery date given. I'm fairly sure they meant it. It can be a great job, but one needs to love the craft an insane amount to go through the punishment that sometimes comes with the territory.

I don't think either of them won. Both of their careers could have been so much better had everything not went to shit in 94.

Uh huh.

The way the band's public image has been handled for the past two decades is atrocious. Axl's been generally refusing to do anything and that's one key area where Slash's absence has been felt. Had they kept going, Slash could've done all (most) of the guest appearances, interviews and appearances, whilst praising Axl's artistic ability and driving home the point that he's a good guy, just fed up with fame - all the while keeping the Guns brand active.

Slash could've had a solo career on the side, whilst Axl could've returned to the spotlight every 3-5 years with some new Guns material. Had Slash been out there putting the good word out, Axl could've held up in his mansion and tinkered on things on his own time without much of an issue.

One would've become a guitar hero while the other would've become a recluse mastermind. They would've just needed to roll out the band in regular intervals to strengthen that notion.

RIP.

If it's of any consolation, his death was epitomized by the same quality that coloured his life - speed.

The Motörhead FB says Lemmy learned he had cancer on Boxing Day, just two days after his 70th birthday.

By any rate, it was a rapid demise. Still, it's better than witnessing him go through the indignation of chemo and whatever.

Hats off to Lemmy. He lived out his life the way he wanted.
