I personally think Chinese is better than all the other side projects from former members. Sales are objective. Quality is subjective hotshot.:thumbup:

Mikka, Paul is credited for writing Back Off Bitch which was a demo from the appetite sessions. He was around in 87.....

Axl will sell more worldwide with Chinese than all the original members side projects and bands combined. If the rumors are true and he shipped three million to best buy, then he already shipped more in the US than both VR albums.:/ Contraband is currently two times platinum in the US. Libertad isn't even gold.

writing credits may have something to do with it....that goes back to money. Writing credits bring publishing royalties. Outside of their contract, that is the only way the new band members will make money. Since they were contracted and not part of the recording agreement, they will not get royalties from record sales....only Axl will get those if he recoups his costs.

He started growing his beard in 03/04 though, there was pictures of him on his website, on holiday touring different parts of the world, looking like a hobo.
Didnt he say to someone he wasnt going to shave until GN'R released CD?
I dont think he grew a beard as part of some weird ceremony, taunting GN'R fans about his secret oath, signed in blood with the devious Trent Reznor.
Mabye he heard the final mixes to Chinese Democracy and thought "What da fuck is this shiiiit????! TAXI!!!!!"

well, let's just compare his NIN album The Slip to his Gnr album Chinese Democracy. He is a contracted musician for both. Personally, although I have my minor problems with it, I think Chinese blows that NIN album out of the water. I also think Finck's guitar work is much better on Chinese. Did you ever consider that maybe Trent just paid him more money?

he's going to get hit by the media just like he gets hit by the fans....we say the same things so you know what the criticisms will be and you know what the praises will be. We have already dissected this thing, in every minute detail, a thousand times. The Blues vocals sound pretty much the same as do Maddy's. It looks like the main tinkering was done to guitar and drums obviously. All the tracks seem beefed up a bit...which I like.
