rock star in spades...that would be Mick Ronson on the gold Les Paul. Crazy chick on fiddle....Dylan rules.:mosh:

Smokin, I don't know what you are smokin but the solo in Sorry is perfect. Simple, perfect tone and like someone said before, it is almost aping Slash. The song is obviously about Slash and Bucket just nails Slash....I call bullshit on anyone who says that is not a good solo. Seriously, come on....it doesn't matter what any of them do. If it isn't Slash, it isn't quite good enough. Now, on the flip side, wait till you hear This I Love......that one needed Slash.

Considering how long he has had, I was expecting so much more from his lyrics. More along the lines of the complexity of much of the Illusion's lyrics.

I was expecting some songs to have lyrics to equal Coma, Locomotive, Breakdown - but a lot of this stuff seems much more basic, verses with obvious rhyming words, and also with a lot of repetition.

I think a lot of the lyrics for Sorry do the music a disservice. "Ill kick your ass like I said that I would" - that makes me cringe when I hear it.

Not as bad as "I'd like to crush your head tight in my vice" all the same. 14

I agree to an extent and don't like the "I'll kick your ass" line. However, that may be the only line on the album that makes me cringe....that happened every other song on UYI.

But, isn't that what actually makes Axl attractive in a very masochistic way? Don't we actually enjoy the trainwreck? Don't we enjoy the fact that he really doesn't give a shit what we think or want? Seriously, if I want artistic rock and roll, I go straight to Dylan. He is all I need to fulfill my requirement of what the perfect rock star should be. Axl? Just an off beat slightly talented character who has quite a penchant for high drama....even when he does NOTHING. 16

The sky is falling....the sky is falling.....I think I would have held this post at least until January, but it was a nice piece of writing. It is pretty obvious that Azoff is holding Axl back for something. I think it is cool that they are not pimping this thing like a two dollar whore....

There are parts of the song that could be about anyone but these few lines strongly suggest Slash:

"You sold your soul but I won't let you win"
"You talk too much"
"You tell them stories you'd rather believe, Use and confuse them, they're numb and naive"

However he does say: "Nobody cares about you" that doesn't sound like Slash but it could be just an insult not meant literally.

I think its about Slash but there is a lot of general stuff also.

Those sound like pretty stupid lyrics.... They must sound better when I hear him sing them.....  I thought he would take the highroad, guess not.

it is a GREAT song with a kickass blues Buckethead solo. You will LOVE it and the lyrics are killer.:buckethead:
