I guess what interests me, is that in a world where Axl's voice is diminishing due to age or whatever factor, why does the band focus on live performance? Why focus on what has become the weak link?
Bumble and DJ together is a killer line up. Axl has the writing ability, and in the studio his voice could be maximised.
Yet they don't do that. They just play the old music even though it highlights the kinds of problems people saw tonight. Why? I guess maybe they realise that's what the bulk of the audience wants? Or maybe it's a financial necessity? I'd be curious to know.
People accuse the fans of being negative. But in my opinion it's because the brand pushes hard the parts of the experience that are questionable now (live versions of AFD) while entirely minimising all the things about modern GNR that kick ass.
Adler is putting out a rock record with a bunch of guys who while they sound alright would be played under the table by frank, bumble, and DJ.....but you'll hear his record in a month or two...and you may never hear the wicked record GNR would make...cos they're busy playing AFD. Just don't understand.
money brother, plain and simple

didn't mean to leave it so vague.
meaning they never wrote songs trying to be hits. They were just great songs that become hits but none were the normal radio friendly formulatic stuff most bands release intending to be hits.
SCOM has virtually no chorus and is considered a "ballad" but listen to what other people had hits with for ballads during that time. WAY different. same for November Rain which is almost 9 mins long. WTTJ had to be released several times.
GNR made it by having a great collection of songs.
CD has a good collection of songs but there isn't any one song u can point to and say, "That's a hit" cause Axl doesn't try to write formulatic hits.
Difference is, in the 80's early 90's people loved albums.
21st century people love the single.
GNR aren't that type of band.

I honestly don't think Axl is built for today's shitty age of music.
GNR were never a "singles" band if u think about it.
so its prob hard for Axl to sit and try to write a hit.

Outside of Kiss, I hate gimmicks.
She has extreme talent when she plays piano and sings. she coulda been an Adele type on steroids instead chose the bullshit angle.

Depends on her maturity level.
U have went through a lot more life experience and there prob is a shitload of stuff she hasn't experienced....
But depends on the girl etc.
I've known 20 year olds mature beyond their years and I've known 20 year olds that act 20.
