There are 15-20 songs in those 4 discs that could have made a cool Axl concept album if he had the ability to pull it all together like Waters did with The Wall.
Axl should have taken his 10 best tracks from that pile of mess and do like Townshend did with the Lifehouse Project. He turned his mess into Who’s Next! Axl turned his mess into…a mess! A mess with one of the worst album covers in the history of rock and roll.

Madagascar has a ton of symbolism in the lyrics. It’s a classic Axl song which is easy for him to sing. It’s a no brainer that it is in the setlist. The songs I could do without are Better and Slither.

I’m pretty sure Izzy Stradlin got a substantial amount of royalties from the Illusion albums. The 1992 partnership can’t take away his songwriting credits!

I was going to say that Axl isn’t giving slash and duff much of anything related to a Chinese song….that 70% stuff on Absurd is highly questionable.

One way or the other, their shows are getting good reviews! The truth is it will never be 1991 again.
And, “Chinese” Gnr did some really cool smaller shows which I am really happy I got a chance to see.
