WOW that is Brian-like. That solo there is better than the redone one on Catcher.
Dig the hell out of that.
For all we know that might be why Axl brought Ron into the fold, is he can duplicate that Brian-sound that Axl was always into. Even looking back to the Robin/Bucket tag team, Axl seemed to be trying to find a way to put Brian into GN'R.
I think Brian could have replaced Slash pretty well to be honest.
I think there was a rumor one time that Axl asked Brian to join GN'R to replace Slash and Brian declined. Brian asked Axl to replace Freddie in Queen, and Axl declined.

Based on the Catcher remix on CD.... no. Then again Brian May is a tough act to follow.
I had high hopes for it.
The solo on this song (starting around the 1:42 mark) is pure Brian May goodness

Axl tweeted a picture of his badly bruised leg. Apparently he had a nasty fall at one of the Moscow gigs the other night. Of all the places to have the next gig. The rest of the band flew to Dublin without him apprently, but he is expected to make the gig. If his leg (or whatever other reason) causes him to be extremely late at this gig, and people start throwing things again and it hits his leg, there could be an all-out riot. I'm actually glad I didn't get tickets for this. I'll happily take Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers next month instead of this fiasco thank you very much.

We don't have Russian forum members. But the Axlist Fundemantalist 'you weren't there, so don't complain that it's the same setlist' bullshit just doesn't hold water anymore. (Not that it ever did.) I'm sure that a lot of Russian fans bought ticket to both shows. Cause they are huge fans. What did they get for their loyalty and money from their idol, Axl 'he only cares about the fans and not the money' Rose?
Not to mention that a lot of them were at the Moscow show two years ago. (I don't think even you would doubt that.) So they got 99% the same setlist for 3 Moscow shows. I think it's so cold in Russia that Axl's moving on project has just frozen.
If it's not a huge middle finger to the hardcore Russian fans, then nothing is.

Maybe it's just human habit to more likely complain about something they don't like rather than post about something they do.
