Thor: Typical Marvel movie but one of the better ones, pretty fun movie. It's clearly building the hype for the upcoming avengers movie.
Kill the Irishman: Now I wasn't expecting much from this but was pleasantly surprised. One of the best gangsters flicks in the last few years (I know that's not saying much as good gangster movies have been scare lately) but definitely worth a watch. It has an almost documentary type feel to it at times that seems to suit it. The movie does get repetitive
at times.

I think they will be back up and running in a week or two, but for me its too little too late, I'm done with Sony, I'll stick with Xbox and good auld Nintendo from now on.. Their response to this and their customers has been appalling.
The funny thing you get these hardcore fans who say, no its the hackers, Sony had nothing to do with it...as if that excuses the shocking lack of security on THEIR system.

Does anyone around here have a PS3 that they actively use online?
I'm kind of concerned at the lack of response at that post.
EVERYONE had their security and personal info compromised. Not only is every person that ever used the PSN personal lives at risk, but the PSN is down indefinitely, and it opens up Sony to MILLIONS of lawsuits.
It's kind of a big deal.
Just thought i'd throw that out there.
Yeah I actively use my PS3 online and frankly am pretty disgusted over the whole situation. Granted I may not be affected (hopefully) by my information being in the hands of someone else but Sony fucked up big time here. When I pay this kind of money I expect a company as huge as Sony to have the proper security in place. It has turned me off the company totally and at the moment I feel like telling them to stick their products where the sun don't shine.
Hopefully my feelings will subside before uncharted 3 comes
But seriously, not cool Sony.

No talk of Portal 2 guys? Come on!
I have it and finished it, pretty short but wow, contender for game of the year imo. russ you should play the first Portal game before you get part 2, if only for the humour in the first one.
THE CAKE IS A LIE.

Project Cafe: The Tech Behind Nintendo's Next Console
More details of Nintendo's forthcoming console, codenamed Project Cafe aka Wii 2, have been revealed to IGN, including the system's estimated pricing, release, console design, processing architecture, and name.
According to sources with knowledge of the project, Nintendo's next console could have a retail price of anywhere between $350 and $400 based on manufacturing costs, and will ship from Taiwanese manufacturer, Foxconn, this October, putting the earliest possible retail release anywhere between mid-October and early November.
However, Nintendo could also opt to build up a sizable supply of the system and allocate more time for software and games development by launching in early 2012. Similarly, Nintendo could attempt to lower the retail price of the system with lower profit margins to make the price more alluring.
Since the manufacturing is taking place in Taiwan, the earthquakes and tsunami that hit Japan last month will not impact the console hardware as previously expected.

Head over to Scott Lowe's blog to find out why we trust our sources and so should you.
Additionally, IGN has learned that the system will be based on a revamped version of AMD's R700 GPU architecture, not AMD's Fusion technology as previously believed, which will, as previously reported, out perform the PlayStation 3's NVIDIA 7800GTX-based processor. Like the Xbox 360, the system's CPU will be a custom-built triple-core IBM PowerPC chipset, but the clocking speeds will be faster. The system will support 1080p output with the potential for stereoscopic 3D as well, though it has not been determined whether that will be a staple feature.
In terms of the design of the console itself, the overall size will be comparable to that of the original Xbox 360 and the system is likely to resemble a modernized version of the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES).
As reported last week, it will indeed utilize controllers with integrated touchscreens and be capable of streaming games to each controller, though given the power of the system, could also feasibly provide a virtualized console for each individual unit.
Finally, Nintendo is considering naming the console Stream, though it is potentially one of several names currently being vetted by the company.

Neemo I like it
I've have been collecting the Zelda and metroid figures off this site the last few years, they're expensive but amazing. The best thing is as soon as you buy them they triple/quadruple in value instantly. I have seen some go for $500 to $1000.
check em out.

Finally physically saw one in store the other day. I was far more impressed than I thought I'd be!
I bought an XBOX360 just now. Literally just plugged it in and it's downloading an update.
My Mortal Kombat Special Edition will be here Thursday to go along with it.
XBOX360 is a great console, I have all the consoles & handhelds (I know I have issues
) and I have to say the 360 is my fav. Great controller, great games and awesome online.
Enjoy it.
Looking forward to hear about the new Nintendo console, the rumours of it are really interesting.
