#6671 Re: Guns N' Roses » Robin back in NIN. Temp or not is the question? » 932 weeks ago
think about it...10 YEARS....The Beatles were over and done in 10 years....as was Led Zep.....as were Tommy's Replacements....all bands who had at least 7 albums!:nervous: And, there is not much of an upside for Robin returning. He will not get royalties from album sales because he is not a part of the recording agreement. He will get his publishing money for writing credits either way. And, the touring money from NIN will easily be as good as Gnr so Robin has nothing to gain by waiting around. Bucket on the other hand doesn't have a big money making tour act to play with so he is clearly a possible candidate to come back. I don't think it will happen but if he is all over the record he surely should be at the top of the list. Bumble could do Robin's stuff in a heartbeat. So could Fortus.

Commy that is a bit condescending, I don't see it that way at all.....and trust me, I am the opposite of cheesy and am WAY in to lyrics (pretty obvious when Bob Dylan is your favorite artist of all time). It is unbelievable how differently people see each track. It goes for Gnr's earlier catalog too. Everybody always has a different favorite song or lyric...I, like Dave, think that is a good thing. One man's garbage is another man's treasure.

I think so too Dave...VERY heartfelt, honest lyrics. The lyrics actually have gotten me in to the music. I think the song is tremendous. *ducks as tomatos and rotten fruit fly by his head*:haha: The vocals are also gorgeous. I love mid range Axl. Of course helium Axl comes out as well but it is good helium during those parts.:mosh:

The Blues.....

Coldplay just moved 700,000 units....ballads out the ass....it can be done. Laugh all you want, Gnr and this particular situation has a huge potential interest. The brand alone, curiousity...the key will be the first single. Either way, this thing does 400,000 or above the first week in the US. After that, it's a box a chocolates...we don't know what we are going to get.:buckethead:

DCK, the only thing I hear in Riyadh that is close to YCBM is the drumming and the dualing rhythm guitars....especially right at the beginning...first 30 seconds....it is kinda similar.:P

I didn't go to the show on the 12th, but went to the show on the 17th.....of course, Izzy and Axl reuniting on stage for the first time in 15 years was quite a moving moment for me. Especially since they are my all time favorite Gnr members.:peace: I was at Mustang's before the show on the 15th and 17th. Great times and met some good people-drank a few Heinekins with Iron Mike-the boy's got some pipes on him-met Younggunner, a real cool guy from Minnesota, Jaz-lot of beer with Jaz-multiple others from the HTGTH regulars. On the 16th I went to a Yankees game and sat right on top of the Yankees dugout! It was an incredible 3 days.
