Asked if it's true that he recently said that he would kill himself if the classic GUNS N' ROSES lineup reunited without him, Adler said: "I would probably feel like I would wanna kill myself, but I wouldn't. I would probably just kill them. [Laughs] 'Cause if I'm not doing it, they're not doing it. If I'm going down, they're going down."
That's the spirit!

Asked point blank if he knows anything about a rumored reunion of GUNS N' ROSES' "Appetite For Destruction" lineup, Adler told Eddie Trunk during a September 28 appearance on Trunk's SiriusXM satellite radio show, "Eddie Trunk Live": "Nothing. Even if it was happening, I don't think Slash would tell me, because he knows how excited I get and that I would probably say something before I should. I would be the last one to know.
"I love those guys, and I always will, but Duff, he doesn't think I'm cool," Adler said. "He doesn't think I'm a cool guy. This is what people tell me. And he doesn't think I'm cool and that I'm not that great of a drummer. And Slash, he doesn't believe that I have 21 months and 21 days sober. He doesn't believe it. I don't know why..."
Steven is surprised he needs to prove himself?
We did do some shows [together] in Japan [in 2013], and Duff invited [Steven's current band] ADLER to come down, and I was still drinking then. And the second I got to the airport, I made a beeline for the bar, and I just started doing shots of Jäger. And the whole trip I was sick and I was just a mess. And, you know, Duff's sober and he's very judgmental and forgetful of where he came from. And he was just so bummed and pissed at me.
Damn. Duff's so judgmental.

Now, here's a situation.
Since The Dead Daisies have now announced that I am not going to be able to do the Australian tour, I’d like to share my statement here-
On September 17, 2015, I was involved in a motorcycle accident. As a result, I broke my shoulder blade, collar bone, six ribs, a toe, I have a bruised lung, lacerated liver and a concussion.
Amazingly, my doctors have assured me that I will make a full recovery. I have never missed a show in my entire career and unfortunately, I will have to miss the entire Australian and New Zealand leg of this tour. I am devastated that I will not be able to play for the Australian and New Zealand fans, who have been so supportive and loyal.
I am healing quickly and getting stronger by the day. I’m looking forward to rejoining the Daisies for the KISS Kruise as well as the Whitesnake tour and our own tour of the UK and France.
I’d like to thank everyone for their well-wishes and can’t wait to be back in Australia very soon. rf
Sept 17th. Fortus breaks his shoulder blade, collar bone, six ribs and a toe, bruises his lung, lacerates his liver and suffers a concussion. Based on the description, he fell on his right-hand side. Lucky him his arm came through.
Sept 18th, Alternative Nation used this Talking Metal soundbyte to implicate another member 'has left'. Second-guessing on this click-bait suggested either Fortus or Pitman.
Sept 19th. Fortus denies he's out of the band. From a hospital bed?

In latest Sweden Rock magazine (#85), Bach reveals that Axl was to sing on his latest album "Kicking and screaming", but had to cancel it in the last minute. Axl texted Bach and asked "When is the latest possibility to come over and do the vocals". The day came and went but Axl couldnt make it.
No hard feelings from Bach though, who also heard a new song that DJ and Axl had written together - it was dark and heavy and very cool - Bach then told the reporter (jokingly?) "If Axls not going to release I want to release it with my band!, its so damn good!"
Cut to now.
"I want to sing [on a song] written by DJ Ashba. He played it for me back in 2010 when we were on tour with GUNS N' ROSES. He goes, 'Listen to this.'
And I'll never forget it. He put it on my head. He wrote it for Axl, to be [used by] GUNS. It's the most badass fucking riff — one of the coolest songs I've ever heard. I haven't heard it since then, but I never forgot how much I loved it.
And he's not in GUNS N' ROSES anymore, so there's one song that I do wanna sing. But I don't even know if I can have that. DJ, I've gotta call you."

Thanks to all for their $0.02.
It appears the forum regulars are a polarized bunch. I get that. Slash, Guns.
Axl has been begged to do two things. Release CD and reunite.
As usual, even the 11th hour seems too soon for him.
When even hardcores are divided on the prospects of CD2 en route to a reunion, you should step up the plate and do something.
Then again... has he ever been reactionary?

The tension easing between Slash and Axl has resulted in AFDem, really. Slash said in May that they haven't spoken in a long time, even if the tensions have eased recently. If they ever do talk, it may take a long while until either is comfortable to talk about a reunion. If it happens, the business haggle and bidding wars begin. Plans would be drawn out. A year of preproduction. Band rehearsals. My guess? 2-3 years from the point at which those two would agree to do it.
Me, I think it's a bit premature to think about.
Meanwhile, with the current Guns are under the radar more than ever. Any work that might be done would happen in Axl's home studio. Fortus said Axl was doing vocals late last year. For all we know, Axl lacks a live unit. DJ and Ron are gone, and Tommy's phone is on 'airplane mode', he apparently told here.
Hardly anyone would take any CD2 lineup over a reunion. Still, methinks reunion is still a long time coming. What kind of a CD2 would be, at least, interesting?
If Axl would reintroduce Duff on bass and Robin to play rhythm and lead with Fortus, would that suffice? As far as CD legacy lineups go, these two reach out to 1997, while they jamming with Sorum and Paul Huge. In that light, Fortus, the working man guitar hero, would be the most recent member.
Personally, I see this as a plausible live configuration, should Axl want to release and tour behind CD2. Duff's in good terms with him, and would be open to the suggestion. Robin's killing time. He might be want to play the tunes he wrote in front of crowds, with his buddy, Fortus.
I'm just curious. Would Robin and Duff validate a CD2 chapter in Guns in your eyes?

The problem with CD is that it's the remake and the sequel of the intended album.
#668 Re: Guns N' Roses » When's Album? » 556 weeks ago
Remember Mark Strigl, from the radio show Talking Metal? He made a bit tangled statement about his recent correspondence with a Guns member. I edited it to make it a bit clearer.
“DJ is out, we don’t really seem to know the status of a lot of the other guys... I do correspond with one of the other members [Pitman(?)] from time to time... He told me in early July... ‘I’m going to have something to talk about in mid-August... Let’s do an interview in mid-August, cool?’ I was like 'Absolutely...' (Sighs)
I’ve since reached back out to him.
At one point, I think it was early August, he said 'Hit me back in two weeks', which I did, and I’ve been hitting him back every week since then [for the past month or so], and crickets, no response to the e-mail.”
So, in early July, Pitman(?) said he'd have something to talk about in about 6 weeks.
Tommy has zero clue about it, despite he 'reaches out' to people in the Guns camp.
It could've been about Vault Work.
Meanwhile, DJ left the band and SOE(tm) fell through.
Early August, 4 weeks later, he says to give those 2 more weeks.
At the same time, Fernando promises an update in 2-4 months.
(2 weeks or 8-16 weeks. Guns have a nebulous sense of time.)
Late August, 2 weeks from that, zip.
August 22nd, the Aftonbladet/Slash soundbyte is published.
Plans may have changed before the media went wild with reunion fervour.
Pitman may have also been told to lay low for a while in the current situation.
A month or so later.
Strigl has kept asking Pitman. He's been silent.
Slash has equallly been mum for roughly the same amount of time.
Tommy's still out of the loop.
Strigl comes with a curious Guns connection, btw.
"Bumblefoot did use my Les Paul in his final recording session for the next Guns N Roses album. The sessions took place last month here in New York City. All his gear was out in California and he specific needed a Les Paul for the album." (Mark Strigl, Talking Metal, 02/10/07)

Aye, how cool could had it been had CITR existed only as a fabled Brian May demo, and Atlas gotten released.
Well, if the May Atlas would've been a bonus track.
We need a new bleedin' GH - but with the deep vault cuts of Beavan mixes.
#670 Re: Guns N' Roses » GnREvolution Chinese Democracy Elimination 2015 - Round 5 » 556 weeks ago
Yeah, it's curious to note that the Beavan-era songs (Riad aside) have kept up.
That '99-'00 album is something I'd really like to hear.
