Sounds like he wants to do more shows in LA, wonder when that will be? Surely Ron will get a break for a while...

Mabye if they really are coming back to Europe next year they will take a break, then do some warm up gigs in LA instead of New York this time.

I get shitty things every year like boxers, socks and sweaters that I wouldnt be seen dead in but I dont really mind, I dont ask for anything and dont expect anything. It annoys me though that my daft maw fucking wraps up the socks and toiletries individually, so I'm opening these parcels and having to go "oh wow a can of deoderant, cheers maw!" 14

Cannie think of a worst present but I remember for some unknown reason my Granny bought me an advent calender, fun when when your young but I was 16. It wasnt just any advent calender though, it was the last one in the shop and all she could find - a fucking pink Barbie Doll calander!
I'm like Aye cheers Granny your a star thats brilliant18

#663 Re: The Garden » it doesnt even feel like xmas » 776 weeks ago

Nah I've not been feeling christmasy whatsoever, I'm getting old and I dont have kids or anything so theres no magic anymore, its just one giant pain in the arse to be honest.
I'm a gardener and a very unwelcome sight at clients houses at this time of year, the last thing on their mind is paying the gardener with all the other expense of christmas, so that'll be me more or less out of work till the springtime.
Bought some presents today and just finished wrapping them, sitting down to a wee vodka to relax after a nightmare day in shop after shop after shop, finally feeling a wee bit christmasy... or else I just want to get drunk as a skunk.
The vodka is feeling rather jolly anyway 5

Its good that he's talking, its always interesting, just wish he'd talk as in depth about the creative side of GNR as he does his grudges.

Poor Matt, not for the first time Axl cant even bring himself to say his name, whats that all about?

I think I'll order the Dec 30th show, that'll be around breakfast time on a saturday morning where I am. Nice way to end a shitty year smile

I think you completely missed the point that Beta started working on Axl's head back in 1993.

Notice how fucked up GN'R has been since that year?

The industry fucking hates them (yes, 'tis true), and I don't see ANYONE being willing to work with them and an average-profitable new lineup GN'R. Industry types are not gonna bust their ass to break even financially, AND have to deal with that unprofessional headache.

As for your "hopes", that statement is just bizarre as to why you're even here, and even bother as a GN'R fan, unless you just dig seeing them live and nothing else.

You have no hopes at a new album
You have no interest in a reunion

So remind me why you're a Guns N' Roses fan in the present?

Yeah its all Beta's fault roll

But anyway, I'm a Guns N'Roses fan cause I grew up with Guns N'Roses, they're my favourite band. Thats not gonna change, their music is immortal, and I'll always be interested in what Axls up to as a performer, so I'll check in to the forums.
But I'm done with this sideshow go nowhere saga, and all the he said she said bullshit played out on the internet, its ridiculous. I'm worn out, burnt out and dont fucking care. This GNR could never release an original note and I wont care cause all expectations and hope have been eroded away and nothing can disapoint me now.

And a reunion doesnt interest me in the way it does others, I have never felt any great urge to fantasise about it and I feel more like they would never recapture the magic they had 20 years ago when they were in their prime, so why bother?

It doesnt mean I wouldnt like it if it happened, nor that I wouldnt like a new album from the new line up. I just think they are futile hopes and feel apathetic about the whole thing in its current state of affairs.

A few riffs? Whatever Axl...
Man I just wish these two would just slug it out in a square go, it'll never happen though cause they're both as much as a wee bitch as the other. I'm bored shitless hearing their catty barbed comments going back and forth, and even more bored by their online minions doing their arguing for them year after year after year after year.

So the Lebeis clan have full control, dont think I give a shit bout that either. All the other managers combined have only managed to get one album out of Axl since 93, even that was a miracle, it aint like they have big shoes to fill. Ha ha aye after Axl made them his employees. Yeah man get the new line up up on stage and they can play Riad, thats probably as close to an original song these members can claim credit to!
