this show was incredible. i was in a group of 16 and everyone of them liked the show. alot of my close friends and family were there, including my dad (he's 68). i had one of the best times of my life.
this band is just really awesome. Axl sounded great again. and i heard Shackler's for the first time, and they played Better which was cool.
a few people commented that they wish Axl's vocals were louder, and also that the sound overall was almost too loud at times. so loud that it wasn't that clear and kinda sounded distorted. but even the people that mentioned that still said they liked it.
i agree on his vocals, wish they were louder at times. but the sound was great to me. that venue has an awesome sound system.
right after SR, Axl pointed out some people that he said had been fighting for the last 10 mintues. i got a little nervous that he might lose it (if not handled properly or something), but all was fine.

nice! glad to hear it was full and that they did in fact play Rosie. that's 23 songs (if the rest are correct), and probably closer to a 3-hour show.
did Bumble do his Pink Panther solo?

Neither ACDC song was played. They were hitting 24 for a bunch of shows and now its been 22 for the last 2.
I loved scraped!! I'm really hoping they play it tonight. Shackler's too. Didnt get to hear that or better last sunday in wb.
I love that they changed the set list up a bit. Keep things interesting. And although i really like whole lotta rosie, i'll take a rocker from CD (or any gnr album) over a cover any day.
Cant wait for tonight!

yes, i saw them a few times on the 2006 tour. post-slash, i have seen the following shows:
2001 - Vegas (hard rock)
2002 - Chicago (allstate), New York (MSG), Philly**
2006 - 2 hammerstein shows, MSG, baltimore
2011 - wilkes barre
the 2006 shows were incredible. in baltimore, they were on fire and played Down on the Farm. total surprise!
but this show was just a little bit better. it's longer, louder, and a bigger production. a bunch of screens, big stage, explosions. the addition of Estranged is HUGE for me, as are Sorry, TIL, and Whole Lotta Rosie. and i'm a big DJ Ashba fan. and like i said, the whole band is having fun and just seems to be really into it.

i was there last night. awesome show. this is the best lineup and best gnr show since slash quit. Axl was in a great mood, laughing all night, joking, told a funny story. the band interacting with the fans is really cool to see. it's just a fun night.
Axl's voice sounded great on most songs. it was funny...he actually had a bit of a rasp going on LALD and YCBM. i think he sang them both in a little lower register. Nightrain and PC he kinda had the higher pitched voice going that i'm not a fan of. but when you are there and getting into the music and having fun, it doesn't sound bad. it's not perfect, but it still sounds good.
there were a couple times where his voice needed to be a little higher in the mix - CD for sure. but you could hear him, so i can't really complain. and like i said, there may have been only 1 other song where i was thinking that.
i was disappointed we got a "shortened" set. crazy to say that for a 2:45 show but i was expecting to hear Better. and SR is one of my favs and would love to hear that live. would also love to see nice boys. but, oh well.
also, i'm not a fan of overdoing it on solos, but when you are there watching they are enjoyable. so it's not as bad as it seems on paper.
the only thing i would change is replacing one or two of the slower songs with rockers. especially if they are not doing the 3 songs i listed above because then the slow to rocker ratio is really out of wack.
but major thumbs up. can't wait to see them saturday!

i never would have guessed that YCBM would be one of the more difficult songs to sing. i was really surprised when he mentioned that.
(but then again, i've never tried to sing all their songs with a band in front of thousands of people, so how would i know.)
but you can see he struggles with it. almost like he's not totally comfortable with it.

sounds like a kick-ass show! 4 more nights til i see them in WB, PA! can't freakin wait. this set list is incredible.
Axlin08 - i believe November Rain was played and total songs should be 24.

i agree that Axl's high pitched voice is not good right now. but it does seem to come and go. i don't think he's total high-pitched like in 2002. cause i thought based on some earlier clips he was nailing a bunch of songs (TIL and a bunch of others).
i also thought last year he was in great form with the full rasp on. (am i remembering that right?). and he's had it at times in 2011. i hope he gets it all, or at least mostly, back over the next week or so.
also, i've heard from several people that said Axl came off as a very likeable guy. and they thought the questions were great.
i also think that any follow-up questions some people wanted to hear would have been avoided by Axl. you were not getting anything definite on new music, rnr HoF, philly no-show, etc.

i thought the TMS guys did a great job. overall i thought it was a cool interview.
the only thing i did not like was bumblefoot. i seriously got 4 texts from friends that had some version of "WTF?!?!" that did not come off funny at all. it was totally awkward. i don't know why they showed it. for about 95% of the people watching, this is their first time seeing any other band members up close and personal and he just totally dropped the ball.
but like one of my friends said, "even Axl seemed totally sane after seeing that bumblebee dude. is he really in the band???"
