Yes, Boar’s Head is great! Can’t believe it’s just now getting out there. The cheese is incredible!

New L.A. Guns is a billion times better than the new GNR. And Phil Lewis still sounds almost exactly the same as he did in 1988. Severely underrated band that is still creating kickass music. Tracii Guns is also a damn good player.

To answer your question, James.

I can't even get through it anymore.

It's fucking terrible. It really might be the worst song in the catalog. Glad some of you dig it, but I don't. I really think it's trash.

Lyrics are repetitive and dumb. Axl is just shouting. I can't even say much about the solo because I don't get to it anymore, but I've always said I can't listen to Slash's garbage solo songs just for the solo. I never make it there.

Incredibly disappointing.

It’s a horrible scene, but a fitting bookend to the images of Americans jumping from the WTC.

This is really an amazing observation. I'm serious. It's cinematic almost.

Biden needs to be realistic and not try to make excuses in his speech today. Explain we’ve spent the past 10 years in Afghanistan specifically to train the Afghani army. We’ve gone over battle plans and strategy with them. They have all the Intel we had.  And they lacked the conviction to make even the most basic stand against a bunch of insurgents who lacked a decade of US military training. I can respect that, cause it’s the truth.

This is what i can’t wrap my head around. The Afghan army just did nothing. Did they ever want to fight the Taliban? Or was the U.S. training them to do something they never had the heart to do, like when a parent pushes a kid into sports who really isn’t into it.

I do believe Biden and the intelligence community were shocked. I believe them because they probably thought the Afghanis would put up at least some resistance. They didn’t even put up symbolic resistance.

It’s crazy to think after 20 years everyone expected this to happen weeks or months from now. There was no expectation the Taliban wouldn’t take over. There was no hope in the Afghan army. It’s mind boggling.

And yes, this is a Biden fuckup. He’s the man in charge. But we all know this has been wrong for a long, long time.

This is actually an older one, but yeah it’s one of the best of his side projects.

His output has actually slowed pretty dramatically during the pandemic, which i found weird.

If you like this, I think similar stuff might be Thanatopsis? I honestly don’t know. Population Override too? You’ve probably heard that one.

I live 3 doors away from the largest arcade in the world. It has more than 800 machines. People fly in from around the world to get in. It features games of which only a few were made. $20 all-day admission. Every game is set to free play. It's awesome.

They went with the "surprise release" angle. Maybe that's good. If they had hyped it, it could have backfired.

That said, they could have prepared a little better. On Spotify, for example, it's not even on any of the new music playlists that every user sees on their homepage.

If this is what the public first hears from Axl Slash and Duff, it seems doomed.

Scroll around to any story, YouTube vid, forum, etc., and the majority are calling this crap. Can't really blame them. They expect the classic GNR sound.

It's nice to have new music, of course. That's all I've ever wanted. It's certainly not my favorite. Hopefully it gets better from here.

I'm afraid this'll get abused when rock reviewers start filing their stories.

Yea, I'm trying not to shit on everyone's parade but this song doesn't do anything for me other than get my hopes up more, better songs are coming.  Happy they released something, but Silkworms/Absurd isn't a track to build support for a new Guns album on.

I didn't want to be the turd in the punchbowl, but I'm not gonna be a nutswinger either. I've been clear over the years that rehashed tours were not what excites me. New music is. So, now that I've got it, I still complain? (Besides the fact this isn't new.) Well, when this is the "new," yeah, I'm a little underwhelmed.

It's not me that matters, though. Take a look at the talk around this. It's not good. We know Axl could definitely be impacted by a tidal wave of bad reviews.

Should have led with Hard School.
