this is getting fucked. it's like a multiple choice question where answers a, b, c, d and even fuckin' e all kinda make sense.
i think i gotta go with james. bucket's guitar + the beautiful outro are the best parts of prostitute to me, and they are absent here. still a really raw and interesting take on the song though.

it's crazy how much solo creative output bucket had while in gn'r. he dropped like 5 solo albums, played guitar for several other bands, and recorded for movie soundtracks, all while uncle axl sat around combing through different mixes of drum ambience.
it's even crazier how bucket could have saved his best stuff for axl, who only used a fraction and kept the rest hidden in storage lockers across america. thank the heavens we finally heard that zodiac riff!
I hope he didn't take a bunch of his GNR stuff back and use it on his own material.
bermuda triangle and some of the electric tears stuff sounds inspired by the stuff he was doing with guns at the time. i could actually see bermuda triangle being built from ideas and sketches from the cd sessions. it's an electronic rock album with drum machines and killer guitar solos.
you could throw "sea of expanding shapes" on one of these leak files and it'd sound right at home.
but knowing axl, he probably had a clause in the contract that said "any music played or recorded inside the chicken coop is automatically property of guns n' roses"
another interesting note: bucket's song "jumpman" came out right before joining guns and the "dub suplex" riff sounds mighty similar:

Oklahoma is superb. Not what I was expecting at all but it's a keeper.
been reading about this song for 15 years. i don't know how i thought the song was gonna sound, but this wasn't it.
still, it's fucking amazing on first listen.
dub suplex is great. another straight up bucket song.
billionaire makes silkworms sound like paradise city.

Instrumental is great. God I love Tommy's bass tone on some of the tracks. How on Earth anyone would think, "Yeah let's bury this in the mix" to the detriment of the songs is just beyond me.
Nobody cared at that point. They were just washing their hands of it at that point.
no wonder tommy was pissed. he dropped some of the grittiest bass in gn'r history and axl buried it 6 feet deep.
at the end of it, he saw 3 different guitar players come in and add parts to songs that were ready to go.
can't believe we're finally getting the curtain fully peeled back.
