I think i remember My Favorite Pillow yeah.
One I do remember is Free spirit rising that was by a band called Mama Mountin or something.
Hearts always get killed, Cock a roach soup, Today tommorow forever. Kerrang is to blame for a lot of them, they put those names in there mag in 1999 and of course in those days where else was there to get info from? You couldn't disproove it. Dont even think I was online until 2001

I have label paperwork that specifically says Duff & Slash ill post it when I find it again. It's from one of two document's though from memory, he actually tried to put out the songs more than once. He got into a beef with Ice Cube I think which bumped it off the album he was working on at the time so he could instead do tracks about him.

"So strap up fool's and lets ride the yellow brick road to compton" That line found it's way into the Ruthless radio theme i believe. So I always suspected parts of it were re-purposed into other songs

It's interesting how the fan base seems to go through stages of not knowing that the second album has been in circulation since at least 2008.

Those leaks in 06 of Catcher and the older versions of TWAT and IRS. That same source was a six song disc/tape transfer that included Hard School, Atlas and Prostitute.

.

If the disc i'm talking about from April 08 that had 6 songs on was played to execs to gauge opinion on single choice, then it seems logical the disc you are talking about was made for the same purpose years before. Given how many times that album was delayed it makes you wonder how many of those discs were made over the years.

I should be more specific.

One person on CD.Com called deaddemocracy claimed it was fake & that it was by Decoder and was called All I Ever Wanted. It was a 44 second clip that I haven't heard myself that was meant to have a pink floyd style guitar part & Axl stlye scream. Everyone seemed pretty dead set it was fake. Then years later that same song name crops up again.

seems odd

I was going to say Bucket is all over CD.

Reading over this thread, I had no idea the hoarders had CD2 since 2008.  I always assumed it was from 2012 on.

I just read this article and it mentions a song I haven't seen anyone talk about, maybe one of the other unknown songs that were recorded during the sessions. If real Axl had done a collaboration with Joe Strummer from the Clash before he passed away.

If I remember right Janky Holocaust was a hoax.

Weirdly a fake leak of Thyme in 2008 that got bundled in with all the other fakes has an odd coincidence to it. It was meant to be by a band called decoder and the song was called All I Ever Wanted.

The title lines up with a song name from the engel & engel paperwork that leaked years later. Anyone remember this?

Isn't Bucket's Shackler solo basically inaudible?

I believe you can hear it buried in the guitar multitrack but it's been years since I listened

Been trying to get these for years, The DAT tapes were taken from the trunk of his car while he was in hospital and taken to Canada.

FBI files make for some interesting reading https://vault.fbi.gov/eric-wright-easy-e-ez-e

I always wondered if the GN'R songs were on those tapes and that interview a bit back sort of confirmed it. Slash and Duff were on the songs according to Ruthless Records paperwork, there's a few press releases where it's mentioned actually.

It was meant to come out May 11th 1993

Yellow Brick Road To Compton was one. I used to hear rumblings about a song called Apocolypse and a third was this with Slash on

I can only go by what the people who heard that have claimed but the general theme was these songs were being played to gauge what could be a decent first single.

And then they decided, bafflingly, to go with Chinese Democracy but not whip up a radio edit that got rid of the minute-long ambient intro.

Yep, the song itself is a logical choice but having the intro on there for a single was not a good idea. If they were played songs that could be singles I suspect they were played Hardschool too, I love the locker leaks version but even that had too long an intro for a single tbf
