Was watching Patience again, I thought he sounded pretty good, seemed to forget the chorus and had a fit. I never thought Axl used those teleprompters, but seeing how much he fluffed his lines last night while they were covered up in plastic bags is pretty telling.
Is Axl dyslexic? I am and my short term memory is terrible, if I was up there I could well forget the lyrics no matter how often I'd sung them in the past, but if I was stressed out it would be even worse, my mind just goes blank. I always wondered if those telepromters were there just as an insurance incase he does have a mind blank, even just knowing they are there would be enough to get through the show no probs. But if they wernt working/covered up and he's already stressed out, if he is dyslexic or something, that kinda situation is plenty enough to cause a total brain fog.

Totally missed it. Have we heard of that title before? It's not one of the ones I'm familiar with.
Seen it, surely they're not thinking of dusting off Aint Going Down

Thats awesome, good to see Oh My God is being considered. That would have been a hell of an encore, dont think they would have managed them all somehow
I suppose thats the lot for the rest of the tour, looks like the new OMG will be the only new song thats played, and thats the oldest "new song" they have lol.

This I Love is pretty bad, if thats a highlight I'm in for a treat tonight lol!
Crazy amount of water on stage right enough, suprised it never affected all the electrical equipment.

It wasn't leaked. It was posted on the official Flickr account of Rock In Rio. They posted the setlists for every band. GN'R didn't exactly follow it, but there was evidence that it was legit because apparently some stuff for TWAT appeared on the video screens even though the band chose not to play it. TWAT was on the Flickr setlist.
Is there a link to it?

It being the first show is no excuse, he's had a good rest after a long tour last year, he should have rolled into this show fit, rehearsed and ready to give the performance of his life - like he should at every show he's sold tickets to see him do his thing.
Gonnie have to watch it all tonight to get a better idea of what took place here, I only caught the last 4 or 5 songs and it was a disgrace, so I'm hoping theres something earlier to redeem things a little.

I watched the YouTube video of estranged, thx to whomever posted it.
Don't want to watch the rest, maybe TIL later.
Honestly though. You don't rehearse with your band. You miss your flight then turn up to rio looking like a grumpy teenage who's just been dragged off the couch by his mum.
Axl is probably paid more for that one performance than we will see in a lifetime. He's had more 'holiday' In the past year than we'll also get. He's got access to personal fitness instructors and vocal coaches. He should've turned up like a prize fighter.
I'm so surprised promoters put up with this, but not surprised at all that the record company can't be bothered.
You simply can't turn up to tour and do your practice in the first few shows. I agree with the 'man up' sentiment.
Thats pretty much how I feel.
He doesnt look well though, whether its a poor lifestyle or a medical reason who knows, but I've honestly never seen him look so bloated tired and uninterested.
I find it hard to believe he has been working on a new album during this downtime, I find it hard to believe he even rehearsed once.
This perfomance has killed off any hope I had of this band ever rectifying the mess that surrounded the last album, things are still a mess. I'm not even disapointed anymore I'm so used to the total hamfisted half arsed efforts we get palmed off with, I'm actually more aghast that that they've managed to sully the name Guns N' Roses again.
I cant even be bothered watching anymore of this gig, it fucking sucked man

Well from what I seen from YCBM onwards, it was terrible. Axl had a few moments where he sounded good (Nightrain) but overall he didnt even seem like Axl Rose - his movements were so pedestrian, he was fucking phoning it in and tbh he looked awful... he doesnt look well at all
And his band, well they fucking sucked as well. All these times I've read bad reviews comparing this band to the old band and claiming there is zero chemistry, I've never agreed at all... but tonight?! Zero fucking chemistry, noone looked like they wanted to be there, and noone sounded as if they had even rehearsed whatsoever.
The writing is on the wall...

This reminds me of the Sex Pistols last gig where everyone was playing different songs at the same time, totally disjointed performance - all is not well.
And did you hear Axl at the end of PC, he sounded exactly like the Axl working behind the counter in the McDonalds spoof on youtube
