#881 Re: Guns N' Roses » your setlist.........again » 730 weeks ago

I don't expect them to power through 30+ songs a night, it's unrealistic. Sure you might just be the lucky one who gets the dream show (Japan) but in all I don't think anyone can complain at the number of songs in a usual show, they definitely give value for money in that regard.

However I think they can mix it up a) with what they already have and b) with new material. I think because we waited so long for CD that to some (and maybe Axl) it still feels like 'new' material when in actual fact it's 4 years old this year, they're not new songs anymore, not even to casuals. In the bands defence the tour is called the Nightrain tour, so nothing really indicates towards new material (or even CD for that matter), but to play a show in 2010 in a city, then play the same show bar one or two songs again two years later two nights running, with the back catalogue GNR have is unimaginative at best.

If there's no new material on the horizon that they want to debut then going forward just shuffle things around a little. Song order, interchange a few CD tunes or a few UYI tunes, it doesn't have to be a crazy shake up, just keep people guessing a little bit.

In fairness this expectation of something new has all stemmed from this BITW leak. There's been nothing from the band to suggest a whole host of new material and surprises were on the way tonight.

Having said all that and irrespective of this post leak expectation they must start looking forward soon. This reluctance to debut new material is getting ridiculous, they seem to be the only band in the world scared to play new music.

Well there's a first (and probably a last), looks in good shape too.

I could dare hope that this means they're going to be trying some new stuff on this tour....but I won't (yet).

As the band is just a circus act going from town to town doing the same show

I think that's more commonly known as touring.

So 2006 called.......said it's nice to be back 16

I'm inclined to agree the more I listen to it. Besides I can't think of the use of the word Blood or Water in any of the CD songs but I may be wrong on that one.

The youtube clips have seemingly been taken down, adds weight to the theory it's legit....

I assumed it was an intro tbh, like how they open with a chorus on CD this is the same kind of thing. I still think it's a fake intro though 16 Although I gotta say it does sound exactly like Axl....

Can't deny it sounds like Axl, but the song sounds very basic to me in terms of structure. I'm thinking a very good fan made fake.

Happy to be proved wrong though.

Another possibility is maybe Bane pushes Batman so far that he has no option but to kill him. Whilst Gotham might already think Batmans a killer we know he isn't but maybe Bane leaves him no option, its either kill Bane or be killed. From there he retires having broken his one rule etc. Could be an alternate explanation for the Legend Ends tagline?
