There's no shortage of Sunset Strip metal-sleaze gossip books out there, including other GNR memoirs – see Steven Adler's My Appetite for Destruction or Duff McKagan's It's So Easy (And Other Lies). But Slash's book is one of a kind, surprisingly reflective and wise yet hilariously blasé about all his decadence. Low point: Slash collapses during a hotel drug binge and gets rushed to the hospital, where the doctors restart his heart. He complains, "I had no remorse whatsoever about my overdose – but I was pissed off at myself for having died. The whole hospital excursion really ate into my day off."

A man who won £148 million ($232 million) on the Euromillions lottery over the weekend says he wants to buy an classic Guns N' Roses reunion.

Before his win, Adrian Bayford ran a music shop in Suffolk, England. Now he's the second-biggest lottery winners in UK history — but still chose to return to his music shop this morning.

When asked what he would do with his winnings after buying a new house and car, Adrian said: "I think I would just have to get Guns n’Roses together – the original lineup, mind. I’m a real fan."
There's one big problem. Members of the so-called "classic lineup" of GN'R from the early 1990s aren't exactly the best of friends.

When the band was to be inducted to the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame this year, it seemed like the perfect opportunity for the classic lineup to put their past disagreements behind them. Sadly, Axl Rose refused in an open letter. Slash and Duff McKagan eventually chose to perform anyway, with Myles Kennedy standing in on vocals.

But as noted by Classic Rock, Adrian could afford plenty of private shows with the modern GN'R lineup. A Russian billionaire paid $1 million for a private performance last year.

What would you do with a lottery win like that? Would you pay for a private show, and who with? What would be your dream guitar or recording studio setup? Let us know in the comments.

I just wonder what has happened with 'the boss' and his value system.

He seems happier than ever yet the bar for GNR is at an all time low (if you discount doing nothing at all which, at this stage I almost prefered - at least I could dream things would be great again).

recently he has been freely and agressively plundering the imagery around the old lineup to hock his wares; he obviously has NO interest in his current guys forming a solid identity with the fans.

So what is the plan? We've studied this guy for decades yet I just don't understand what is going on now or is going to happen. Things are nutty:

- Old AFD merchandise shipped the fanbase

- A Ritz show where only one man who was at the '88 one was there for the
   whole thing.

- Appetite style poster is back up in Vegas to celebrate 25 years of an album
that nobody who played on that album is around to play.

- Izzy blanking his most devoted fans and old bandmates at the RRHOF but
still flying to France to play a fucking wedding, a move so cheesy that even
an employee of Axl Rose went on twitter to complain about.

This is all stuff I just don't get.
