#911 Re: The Garden » Life on Mars?? Starting to look that way... » 955 weeks ago

I can't say that I am convinced by the images but I do believe there is very much a chance that life exists on Mars and/or other planets.  It's a very egocentric idea to think that all these planets that exist in the solar system are only there for our viewing amusement.  Everything serves a purpose.  I would not be surprised that within our lifetimes evidence of other lifeforms on other planets becomes a reality rather than a hypothesis.

Exactly what I thought...bullshit!!  The scapegoat and mindgame factors have been set in play.  If NYG don't beat themselves I think they will beat the Patriots.  This is the first serious pressure that has been put on NE in quite awhile.  Yeah, the pressure hit them in the playoff game due to Brady having a bad day but this is pressure from the start.  They only beat the Giants by three last time and these guys are on a serious road-winning roll.  The Patriots perfect season basically goes from becoming legendary to becoming mockery if they lose this game and they know this and Brady is coming off one of the worse games he has played.  This would be pressure for anyone.  Should be interesting.

I never heard that, it's possible though.

I know at one point he was going to do something with Either Jeff Ament or Mike McCready from Pearl Jam(I don't remember which).  If that ever actually came out I never heard it.

Yeah, I remember seeing the video now.  I'm not sure if Mike or Jeff was in this song but it was this reply that made me remember.  Seems like they may have been out around a campfire type of setting or something.  The song was awesome but I only saw part of it at two different times I believe.  I'll try and do some research on this and see if I can come up with it.  The name of the song is almost on my tongue but I can't place it.  Great tune I remember and I will do my best to remember and research this one.  I've been hella busy lately so if I forget pm me and remind me.  The video kind of had a Hunger Strike (Temple of the Dog) feel I think.

looks like a convenient excuse for a loss in the SB is being set up. If they win it was no big deal, if they lose, Brady wasn't 100%. What a crock of shit.

That's exactly what I think.  In reality I see this "act" as serving two purposes.  One is the most obvious and the one you already correctly stated, it gives the Pats a scapegoat if they lose and that (the Pats losing) isn't a stretch if you consider they only won by 3 the last time they faced NY.  The second part of this most likely "invented injury" is just a simple misinformation tactic in order to throw off the opposing team a bit.  If the Giants think Brady is hurt I would guess the idea is that they may get a false sense of advantage.  I doubt VERY seriously if an injury exists.  If Brady really needed a walking cast he wouldn't be so sure of his readiness to play in less than a couple of weeks.  Total bullshit.

Doesn't sound good.  Add this to the STP reunion and it could spell trouble for VR.

Kings X and Perry/4 Non Blondes...great calls.  King's X was fantastic (didn't the singer do some cool song with Cornell and some other top musicians once? Seems like it was a tribute to a fallen friend who died from an OD?) As far as Perry, she is freaking amazing on what little I've heard of her.  What's Going On was incredible and her cover of the VH classic "I'm The One" was gold as well.  My argument for listing Mad Season is they should have been bigger regardless of another album or intentions for long-term or not.  The album is simply amazing.  I don't think they could have ever topped that debut either however.  I don't think any other Mad Season songs were ever released other than I Don't Want To Be a Soldier from the John Lennon Tribute (which was excellent) but I have the live boots from the few shows they played.  I'll try and up them down the road.  All the stuff from the album is included, a live version of Soldier and a few jams like Voodoo Child/Running With the Devil/Black Mirror.  Great band.

For anyone wanting to give Candlebox a chance the debut and Happy Pills are a must.  If you really want to hear the best that Ugly Kid has go check out Menace to Sobriety, less hits but all kick-ass songs.  This band also has one of the best bass players I've ever heard.

That sucks, I saw that guy in a really funny Andy Griffith show.  Barney gets onto him about dumping litter in the street and gives him a ticket.  It's the one where they get the little Judo guy to dress up as Barney and whoop up on him.  I think his character was named Fred on this one...classic.  RIP
