I know NR solo and SCOM both are better than lyrics/vocals or at least as good

u can't say that about too many.

Stairway To Heaven musically is better also than lyrics/vocals

when BLS opened for GNR... honestly ever Zakk solo sounded exactly the fucking same and was just a bunch of fast shredding   bored me to tears.

I may be ignorant and I admire Jimi Hendrix' greatness

but I do believe his legend and the fact its been repeated so many times is why He constantly is number 1.

I listen to his albums and I certainly don't think he is undisputed by any stretch.

Slash def number 1. I can see arguments for Jimmy Page also.

For me, the most telling thing is how attentive Axl was ONCE Duff got help. Axl was the only one to call him or come see him after his Pancreas incident. Axl began communicating,  riding bikes, talking about the band.

Its impossible being the sober guy in a room full of junkies. so i can see why Axl distanced himself.

The name thing makes complete fucking sense to me now after reading how fucked up Duff was and Axl's explanation of not wanting a hassle continuing on legally etc.

Now that doesn't mean I am all of a sudden gonna be an Axlite and hate the old guys..

but Axl certainly has some vindication the more i read stuff from old members.

I always thought Duff was just kind of a drunk... didn't realize he was that hardcore into shit.

Im reading Duff's book and HOLY FUCK.. more i read it combined with Slash's etc... I can honestly say, I'm starting to not blame Axl one single bit.

I talked to Jarmo for bout 10-15 mins at Nashville and we got interrupted by Del James who needed Jarmo to take care of something backstage.

so he is def apart of the crew.

Hell yeah. Did you ever watch USA Up All Night with Rhonda Shear on Fridays, and Gilbert Gottfried on Saturdays? Fridays were usually weird, funky MST3K films, and Saturdays were always horror films.

I used to stay up as a kid to watch that stuff. I wish I had all of those bumpers. I can still remember the intro music for the shows, and I can also remember the "USA Movie" intro music back in the mid-to-late 90's like nothing.

Sorry to get all geeky, but lots of fond memories. When I was younger basic cable was it. We didn't rent alot because of where we lived, and VHS's were like over $25 bucks.

So USA was fuckin' legendary in those days. I miss Up All Night. Rhonda Shear hosting fuckin' Gamera films, and Gilbert Gottfried bagging on Christopher Lee & Sybil Danning in "Howling II" while I 'wolfed' down Pizza Hut was good times.

rhonda Shear... oh man..... how many times I... well never mind big_smile
